Apartments with acceptable space But everything is very old and uncomfortable Specially for that price The people working there are adorable But very limited English Parking was unnecessary expensive and no advice before arrival about the cost No warm blankets The television is a joke I have to move to another hotel to rest

Comfortable, spacious room.
Very comfortable and affordable room. It's about 1.75 miles from the cathedral. It is walkable. We headed west to Corso Buenos Aires and walked down that street to the city center. This turned out to work well for us as was good for shopping. As you walk down Buenos Aires the closer you get to the cathedral and the fashion quadrilateral, the more expensive things get but the quality, and uniqueness also go up so you can find the product level you are looking for and your price starting from the cheaper end. We walked from the Residence down to the cathedral both days we were in Milan, it is do-able.

Residence Donatello - hmmmm...
We arrived at 10 pm with most lights off. We felt like we were walking into someone's house instead of a hotel. The lady was very pleasant & kind w/ good english, but there were issues: 1) She forgot to give us the internet password & since she told us she was going to bed, we felt badly about waking her up again. The room only had 1 shower towel for 2 people. 2) I had to walk outside to the front gate to call her b/c no one answered the "operator" button when pressed on the room phone. She came down with a smile on her face and helped out with the password and towel, but in a hotel environment I don't want to feel like I'm being an inconvenience to the owners. 3) The internet in our room didn't function, so I had to find a nearby cafe that was open after 10 pm to get online. 4) The heat didn't work. 5) In the morning, when I told the front desk attendant about the problems & requested a break on the price, he wouldn't even listen to me. He fought me tooth & nail, & said that the heat was fine and the internet password she gave was for the lobby & the one for the room was different. Not my fault. The lady should have known that! 6) After we agreed to pay because of time and his strong resistance, it took 5 minutes to print a receipt, & then he insisted on shaking hands and saying "simpatico", meaning he wanted us to leave thinking "nicely" of him...which resulted in this review being posted. You be the judge. What bothered me most is that he wasn't fair & reasonable.

Fin lejlighed lidt uden for centrum
Dejlig hotellejlighed lidt uden for centrum, men ikke langt til Metro. Daglig grundig rengøring, bedre end vi er vant i lejligheder. Vores lejlighed havde vinduer ud til fredelig gård med mange planter og træer.

One week stay near Politecnico di Milan in summer
Our stay in this hotel was very comfortable, although the comments of other users to this hotel were very severe. A lot of users might feel inconvenient during stay in this hotel, because many workers in this hotel cannot speak English. However, I can communicate them and they could solve problems, because one staff who can speak English could help through a phone. If you are planning to stay in this hotel, you should tell the hotel wheather you can speak Intalian and when you arrive the hotel. There are several good points in this hotel. 1. The room was very comfortable, because the desk was large enough for desk working, the bed was comfortable, and the window was large enough fot the light outside to come in the room. 2. There is a supermarket in about 2 min walk from the hotel. We bought bottles of waters and snacks in the supermarket. 3. There are some good cafes for breakfast in 2-5 mins walk from the hotel. In addition, good restrant and gelateria are 5 min walk. 4. We can go the metro station in 10 min walk, so we can go the center of Milano quickly.

Residence Donatello, Mailand: Einfach, sauber, freundlich, gute Lage.
Eine eher einfache, nicht extrem nah am Zentrum, aber dennoch gut gelegene Unterkunft. Mit der UBahn (5 Min. zu Fuss zur nächsten Station) ist man in wenigen Minuten am Dom; zu Fuss in ca. 30-45 Min. Sehr nettes Personal, allerdings kaum Englischkenntnisse, aber es ging auch ohne. Eine gute, simple, saubere Unterkunft ohne Schnickschnack.
