We had so many issues. One, our room (rm 111) had a water leak and our floor was covered in water on our second day there. Our travel bags got soaked.
In rm 111 It was VERY noisy above us. A lot of heavy walking, banging, sounded like a lot of furniture was being moved around but it was happening a late hours and continued into the early morning. Also we always had people talking outside our door early in the morning when we were moved into our new room on the third floor for the rest of our stay. Second day we moved to the third floor it was a larger room which we appreciated. However our shower clogged so we had to quickly take our showers and on top of that we got hit with a notice that there would be no hot water between 10am-6pm.
We went to the beach (this is day two, after our clogged shower incident which did get fixed) we arrive and we have no running water. It was extremely frustrating. The staff were kind of nonchalant (a gentlemen) with it all and couldn't give any solutions other then to uber us a 10 minute drive to their sister hotel to shower...which wasn't a great option for us since we were on a time crunch. Also they never turned over our rooms. Not once AND every time we asked for new towels they would hand them to us but never collect the dirty towels we had... which was so weird to us because we had a pile of dirty towels sitting for 4 days that never got collected. Anyways, We wont be coming back to the Abbey. I understand its definitely a cheaper hotel
