Front Desk Staff was GREAT! We ate outside one night and the FOOD was DEEEE-LISH-US!!!! The only two dislikes were the bed was extremely hard. Was not comfortable...and...being on Ocean Dr, the music played until about 1am(ish). All we heard was the Bass. So if you are an early "bedder", you may not want to stsy as any hotel on Ocean Drive. But overall, the Pelican was nice! (PS: the food was really good!!)

Beautiful property! Highly recommend the "Green Boo" room. It was very nice and spacious, and there was an unexpected soaking tub, that was a very exciting surprise to me. In the heart of south beach, great for walking.

La pulizia e’ stata scarsa, a terra non viene spazzato, per giorni ci sono stati ciuffi di capelli e unghie tagliate sul pavimento, vetro protettivo del tavolino grasso e macchiato Manutenzione della struttura assente. Colazione inclusa nel costo del soggiorno, poverissima di scelta, soltanto 3 opzioni che tra l’altro non possono essere modificate. Per 15 giorni sempre le stesse cose! Non c’è yogurt, frutta, o cereali…. Qualsiasi scelta dal menù principale era a pagamento con prezzi esagerati. Un’altra cosa assurda la mancia obbligatoria tutte le mattine a colazione ed ogni giorno con importi diversi. Pasta ai frutti di mare , immangiabile nonostante ci sia un cuoco italiano, il sugo era congelato, i frutti di mare cozze e vongole, oltre ad avere il mollusco secco, non fresco e non polposo erano freddissimi. In un albergo del genere e’ inaccettabile. Non lo consiglio

The Pelican Hotel is an amazing boutique hotel with an outstanding restaurant! It has 33 individually themed rooms owned by Renzo Rosso, the Italian fashion mogul and founder of the Diesel clothing brand. There is a lot of attention to detail put into this hotel and the location is prime. The hand stamped copper elevator takes you to your room and speak easy rooftop. We had Rm 202, an oversized very large vintage themed king suite overlooking the main blvd. It had a view of muscle beach, the ocean and the sidewalk for some great people watching. It had windows wrapped around both sides of the room which was awesome. It had a little noise at night since it's on the main blvd, but they all do being in the epicenter. It didn't hinder us from a good nights sleep in the plush California King bed with crisp sheets and a duvet topper:) The service has been outstanding!! The staff really care about the guests, evident on many levels, and went above and beyond. It has been a long time since I feel like I had really great service, outstanding food, and a couple of generous offerings thrown in. If you're a guest at the hotel, you get a few options for an oversized, complimentary jumbo cocktail every evening. The 1st night we opted for the spicy, scratch made margarita and night 2 we got the Aperol Spritz with approval from the mgr. They also have a generous happy hour. Love the vibe!Our recent stay at this hotel was wonderful! From the time we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with the most warm and helpful staff! The front desk personnel Wardell was very accommodating and welcoming! We arrived very early from the airport and asked him if we could leave our bags until the check in time, and he was very kind enough to check if any room was available to accommodate us! He let us check in earlier than expected and we were able to rest and relax in our room before we enjoyed a delicious lunch in the hotel restaurant! The free drinks in the afternoon was wonderful and the drinks were large enough with the right buzz! We mostly ate at their restaurant and enjoyed their fresh seafood! Loved their calamari ( to die for) and their fresh fish! The free towels and chairs were nice to have as an inclusive with the room plus the free plated breakfast were big servings and cooked fresh every time you order! We have tried big resorts and hotels in Miami Beach every year but I must say, we will have to change our pattern and return to this hotel every year now! And I must mention their music! If you are are a Gen X traveler, you will love their mix! I’d give this hotel a 9/10!

Perfect location on South Beach. You can walk everywhere. Staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. Breakfast included with room was very convenient. Room looked to be recently renovated which was nice . Only downside was a green throw rug under the bed, it was thick and a slight trip hazard. Also looked dirty. Beach right across the street, they offered beach towels and had chairs available.

The Staff were all incredible and easy to talk to. They went above and beyond, friendly and very professional, every last person from Front desk to the Rooftop Hostess. The breakfast was very good. We ate for 2 days. We did not have lunch/dinner at the hotel. The room was nice and well decorated. We had a small room nothing fancy. The Bathroom was on the smaller side, but I loved the shower, my Girlfriend did not. We didn’t opt for a room with a view so the window looked at another building next door. Doesn’t bother at all. We had only 3 issues with our stay. The pillows on the bed look big and fluffy, but they are very light and not very support at all. My head went straight to the through to the bed with 2 of them. The Bed felt cheap and it definitely needed replacing. The mattress had been sunken in on one side and the other side I would slide off of it. The last issue which is very important. They have small fridges in the rooms with no freezer. I asked for a fridge with a freezer or a freezer they did not have one. My Girlfriend is diabetic and needed a cold place for her insulin and a freezer for her ice packs. The original fridge in the room was broke and they replaced it. We had to ask the Bartenders to keep her icepack in the freezer in the kitchen. Had to use buckets of ice to keep her insulin cold because the fridge did not get cold, even when it was changed out. All in all, if they fix the bed and fridge we would stay again. Love the Staff!

really enjoyed our stay. - the room was clean and comfortable - staff was great - the free breakfast was awesome - great location it can be loud at night, so that might be an issue if you like to go to bed early.

It’s a shame that one reception staff ruins this review. Don’t know his name, buts African and wears glasses (I’m African too, just in case). He was unreasonably rude to simple questions about dinner times that I asked in a friendly manner. Not acceptable. By the way, breakfast was 08.00 - 10.00 on weekdays. The pictures of the Pelican Hotel on Hotels.com aren’t accurate- probably photoshopping. Furniture and flooring are generally old. The bathroom is the best space in my room. The hotel is located on a busy road outside the beach, so it was noisy at night time.
