Great location, but lacking amenities & service.

We were not aware at the time of booking that there would be no on-site staff to assist us. Locating the building entrance, navigating the many steps necessary to retrieve keys and park upon our late evening arrival proved challenging. The 2BR apartment was located in a high rise building and opened onto a sunny terrace. The furnishings were spare but adequate to accommodate 4 adults, but the unit was in need of maintenance (example: vertical blinds on the living room sliding doors were missing about half of their slats). Most puzzling was the addition of a $120 dollar "cleaning fee" added to our bill but not clearly disclosed at the time of this non-refundable booking. We never did locate the pool which was listed in the amenities. The most positive aspect of the unit was its proximity to the Shops at Merrick Place, where we were able to find several nice restaurants. Early check in or late check in are not available, by the way.
