The room was clean but the stairs and lobby looked like they hadn’t been swept and mopped in months. Elevator was broken. Staff was friendly and attempted to make up for the shortcomings.

Loved that we were staying in a Old Building with history. Yes it's a bit dated, but it's right on South Beach, Affordable, and surrounded by amazing sights and places to eat. I would absolutely book here again.

We're sorry to hear that you didn't like the hotel, which I know that from the inside you didn't like what you saw and what you least liked was when you saw that the elevator wasn't working. The hotel is old, but it is kept in good condition and there is great hygiene, the staff is very professional and always tries to help the guests have a good time. The Valet is to expensive,$40 per night. And the beds are hard. Elevator doesnt work.

We're sorry that you had a bad experience. The Valet service is a company that works for the hotel, the price of parking in Miami Beach is high and only hourly, this is 24 hours. All agencies are informed that the elevator is broken and that it will take several days for the company to fix it so they can inform customers before arriving. But due to the inconveniences, we do not charge the hotel fee, which is mandatory 25 plus taxes 28.50 per night, the security deposit is 200 and we only took 100 and we gave you a free upgrade, lowering them from the floor and giving them a King Ocean room, when your reservation was One Queen Bed. We apologize for not meeting your expectations.

DO NOT visit this property. The pictures deceive you into believing that it is a old/classic themed hotel… it is just old and run down. In the Beth room there were bugs, the paint was peeling and the staff was terrible. The person at the front desk was just watching tik tok live not giving a damn about his job. I spontaneously booked a hotel up the street for HALF the price and it ended up being amazing. Please please please do not book here. I don’t want anyone else to have the experience I had.

Staff could care less about guests. Such an outdated hotel for the price. Easily could charge more with some tlc and updating. Great location, but would not stay here again.

Tiny tv with limited channels and no outlets to plug in cell phone and devices. No coffee or even a small counter to set things.

There are few channels, we don't have cable, only antenna, there're no coffee machines and the rooms are small, all this information can be found on our website. EXPEDIA should delist this hotel. It's gross and unsafe. There were bare exposed electrical wires in the lobby ladies room. The lobby furniture was filthy. The front desk clerk was uninterested. Another member of the staff was rude. We booked nonrefundable but when we got there we did not feel safe.

Disappointing
Location: close to the beach Noise level: very loud, restaurant downstairs played music till midnight, can hear neighbor rooms talking Comfort: Super uncomfortable squeaky mattress, asked multiple times to change room, eventually they changed our room Lobby: vintage inspired decor, ugly partitions in lobby Staff: very unprofessional and acted like they don’t want to be there Room: clean, pillows are like cardboard, didn’t have softer ones. Freezing cold, we couldn’t adjust the temperature so slept in layers of clothing Bathroom: shower handle came off before showering, bathtub filled with water, repair man didn’t speak English, ended up using pliers to shut off water. We asked if we could shower in a different room and they said they don’t want to have two rooms marked as dirty so the repair man just left his pliers and that’s how he showered by adjusting the faucet with pliers. Very high-end! Tv/“: tiny and kept turning black and pixelated, when we told front desk she said they don’t have a repair person to fix it They also charge extra mandatory $100 to give you tiny towels for the beach and ‘free wifi’ which was slowwwww

We 're sad to know that you didn't have a good stay. The hotel is old from 1979, the website clearly states it, what makes it great are the people who work with a lot of love and professionalism, to make sure the guests have a good stay. Your room was changed due to inconveniences, always thinking about making you feel good. The maintenance man does not know English but with the best of wishes I tried to help him, I left him the pliers because you said they would leave it to him because you didn't want to change rooms again. The hotel is noisy since it is located on Ocean Drive where there are parties 24 hours a day and it is allowed even in the restaurants. We always work so that you have a pleasant vacation. We apologize for not meeting your expectations.

I paid in advance and booked this hotel for 3 nights, coming from Michigan, had my confirmation number from Expedia, went to the hotel to check in and was told no vacancy. They refused to honor the booking and didn't even try to remedy the issue.

As we explained to you when you came, we didn't have your reservation, they never sent it to us, at no time were they told that there was no room, which is why we did not have his reservation because Expedia, who was the one you paid for, never sent it, we told him to contact Expedia and if it was of help, you would tell them to contact us to resolve the situation. Our job is to satisfy the client and ensure that they have a good stay.

Needs a good investor has potential
The pictures that are on the website are true to fact. The place is run down and very old. The lobby not very welcoming and looks are homeless people are hanging at the lobby the restroom smelled like pee. The rooms are very old furniture and beds are uncomfortable the wifi did not work and tv either. The bathroom tub had black grout from being old. The only thing this place has is location.

Very cute place! And helpful, friendly staff! They provide beach towels for free, and blankets which came in very handy. The only downside to this hotel was that it was freezing in the room. If you like it extra cold, then this place is great for you because the rooms do not have controlled heat/air conditioning. I did reach out to the staff and they provided me with 2 blankets and everything worked out in the end.

Wonderful Experience!!
This was a great stay for us. The location is awesome, right across the street from the beach. The staff were great. I thought it would be hot since we couldn't control the air conditioning but the ceiling fan was wonderful and the room was always the right temperature.

Very big room. Elevator is super old but its pretty neat seeing it work. Bathroom door didnt lock and the tub didnt hold water. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner but overall pretty cool old hotel. Location is great for beach and food options.

Older hotel, with a charming decor. Security was helpful with late check in. Excellent area to stay in. Walking distance to many restaurants and stores. Pleasant stay. Beds clean but could be more comfortable.
