La Roma has a rich history, dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries when it was developed as an upscale residential area for the city's elite. Within a short walk, you can also enjoy arts, culture, parks, museums, shopping, and nightlife. Getting Around: The property is approximately 10 km to/from the Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juarez (MEX). Some options for transportation are: \- Taxi: Look for the authorized taxi stands inside the airport terminal. These taxis are safe and regulated. Ensure you agree on the fare with the driver before starting the journey. It's generally a good idea to have some local currency (Mexican Pesos) on hand to pay for the taxi ride. \- Private Car Service: Many private car services and rideshare companies operate in Mexico City. You can book a ride in advance using apps like Uber or Didi Chuxing. \- Metrobus: The Metrobus is another viable option. Major bus stops and Metro are about a 10-minute walk away. The host had very good communication and was very helpful. The amenities are good. It's an interior apartment so there is hardly any street noise, occasionally you will hear dogs or people from other apartments but it is generally pretty quiet. The main drawback about the apartment, also due to it being an interior apartment, which is not apparent from the photos and the description, is that there is not a lot of natural light - there is some filtered or indirect light, but especially on rainy days it can feel pretty gloomy inside. Also, if the weather is rainy or humid outside, the apartment gets very humid throughout, and there's not a lot of air flow. If you need to air-dry your laundry, you will have to get creative. There is a circulating fan and a couple of space heaters provided, which helps a little bit. ##### Larry B. The place is clean and well located. Roma Norte is a lovely neighborhood. There a several places to buy groceries, some great restaurants and an abundance of cafés. The apartment is on the first floor, and although it was spacious and had a small veranda, there was little natural light. It didn’t matter to us, as we were out all day enjoying the city. The veranda is also indoors, with a skylight 4 stories up. The apartments above us had windows and walkways that opened into the same space, and we could hear the comings and goings of others staying in the building. Other than a dog barking, it was quiet at night. The building is safe, and the folks at the entrance who let us into the building were friendly. The hot water is not limitless, but since it’s warm in Mexico City, it wasn’t a serious issue, The owners are responsive, helpful with suggestions and have provided a safe place to stay. ##### Leanne R.
