"We had a wonderful stay at Kimberly’s place! We’ve been vacationing at Lake Gaston for years and this was by far the nicest stay we’ve had! We loved cooking meals on the porch while enjoying the gorgeous view of the cove. Huge bonus to have a large blackstone and a grill as we love to cook! The kitchen had everything you would need for homemade meals and it was great to have an extra full fridge in the basement. The beds were incredibly comfortable and it was nice to have black out curtains and white noise machines. I need to touch base with Kimberly about what kind of couch is in the living room because we decided that’s what we need at home! We love to play pool and found the table and cues to be in great shape. It was a little warm for the hot tub, but we enjoyed it on our one rainy/cooler day. The dock was great with plenty of covered seating and space to lounge. Since it’s a bit of a walk to the house, the fridge space at the dock was nice. The cove was perfect for swimming and paddleboarding. The kids caught bluegill, a couple of small bass and a catfish off the dock! It’s a bigger channel so there was boat traffic in the distance, but we felt safe floating around the dock. Kimberly was a wonderful host offering lots of extras (starter soaps, hand soaps, paper products etc.) and was very responsive, although we didn’t need much from her during our stay. We will definitely book again!"

"We had a wonderful visit at this beautiful property! The house was clean and had all the supplies we needed. The only problem was the air upstairs was not working and the dock supplied door locked on us and it did take a bit longer than we hoped to have someone come out to unlock it for us other than that we had a wonderful visit and would definitely come back!"

"Beautiful place right outside the town center! I loved the historic elements, how spacious the room was, and how comfortable the bed was! The breakfast items available were great as well! I would definitely recommend this spot in the future!"

"House was what the ad said. The only thing was that we had to pay to use the Beach Area - very expensive either 10 a car load per day or 10 per person per day. The steep hill to the doc was scary - the back porch was not suitable for small children, due to the large openings around the railing of the porch. I feel that you should put a gate up at the stairs going down - in an awkward area. If you are not watching your small child they could go down the stairs fast. But as for the they house itself it had everything you need to enjoy your time at the Lake - we stayed for 2 weeks and did not need to purchase anything to cook with, clean with, and had plenty to keep you entertained. Ended up only have 4 of us and 2 dogs stay at the house. But we really enjoyed it. Lucky we had a pontoon boat instead of a sports boat. Cove was a little low in some areas. House was very clean and smelled amazing. Pool was to expense to use on top of the beach area so we didn't do the pool. I think they said it was 7 per child per day. Lake water was better. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your home for our 2 weeks of vacation. Quiet area and dogs enjoyed it also."
