Our cozy and chic “Main Option”, is a modest quadplex of one bedroom garden apartments Located on Main Street in Downtown Memphis. Main Option is a part of the continued urban development adjacent to both Riverfront Harbor and Uptown neighborhoods and sits directly across from the Soul and Spirits Brewery and around the corner from the Grind City Brewery. Catch a ride to Beale Street on a horse drawn carriage as they past your front door. Or stroll to the historic Slave Haven Underground Railroad Museum behind you. The ease of access to the trolley line makes visiting the Memphis Must-See’s a breeze! Hop on the trolley line to enjoy Beale Street nightlife, watch the famed Peabody Ducks conduct their daily Duck Parade, or catch the NBA’S Memphis Grizzlies at the Fed-Ex Forum. Additionally, the trolley line will help you take in a fun night of baseball at the Redbirds Stadium, a delicious BBQ dinner at Rendezvous, or a dinner cruise on the River. The Shaws’ Guest Rental Agreement This agreement has been created to ensure contract between our guest, and your host(s) is satisfied in a manner that limits liability or harm to either parties. The Shaws’ were established to provide a venue that sets the stage for a clean, safe, enjoyable, memorable home away from home for travelers. In order to maintain that it has become necessary for us to add this rental agreement for each booking. Your booking payment is considered acceptance to this agreement acknowledges your acceptance of such. You are encouraged to read. Because our calendar is blocked for you, and our concierge services begin the instant you book, we have a strict no refund cancellation policy.For this reason it is recommended you purchase trip insurance. However, under special circumstances,we reserve the right to allow you to use paid dates within a year blocking peak dates. Identification will be required from the booking agent, who must in turn provide The Shaws’ a guest list including names of guests to occupy property in case of Emergency. Vehicle limits and parking instructions provided must be adhered to. As courtesy, The Shaws’ have provided one steering column lock for you to use as you move about the city. However, we recommend valuable items be removed from your vehicle as we are not liable for any loss. Smoking of any kind is allowed only in the designated areas. If smoke is detected a fine will be assessed. Exterior cameras will monitor and record at each location for suspicious activity that disturbs the quiet peace and enjoyment of both our guests and or our community. Social areas are provided on the premises. No loitering outside of those areas will be permitted. Should it be deemed necessary for ANY police involvement for ANY reason that will be cause for immediate termination of this agreement without any refund or compensation and lead to immediate eviction. Any attempts to chargeback any payments, intimidate, or bribe The Shaws’ will be considered criminally defrauding an Innkeeper and full restitution will be sought. Any attorneys fees incurred will be at guests expense. Further, we will not allow booking agent any further bookings at any Shaws’ property. General House Rules We know when you arrive, you will find The Shaws’ to be clean and in order. Even though we dot not charge a cleaning fee, extra steps were taken to ensure the property safe and sanitized. Please help us keep it just as nice for the next guest by following these simple rules. Linda was great at communicating and very helpful with places to visit and brochures in unit. The pictures reflect what is shown and it is tastefully decorated. Bed was comfortable and high end quality linens and towels (and plenty of extras) ample lighting and appreciate the mirrors located for checking your fit before walking out the door. Only thing missing in Kitchen was a Keurig ( already mentioned to Linda ) I’m pretty sure she will supply that in near future. Kitchen also could use a roller cart for a little more kitchen counter space. I felt safe and comfortable (single female) the only thing that was somewhat bothersome was the brewery across the street parked in front of unit (off street parking) and Linda does indicate this in description of booking. The parking is only affected from around 5pm-9:30p ish. So if you have to park further from unit you could move your vehicle back in front of unit. Overall I definitely recommend Blues alley downtown for your stay in Memphis if you want close proximity to all things fun in downtown Memphis. I would absolutely stay again! ##### Elizabeth R. They were not exaggerating! This was the best VRBO experience we've had. The communication was excellent and made us feel very prepared for a city that was new to us. The unit was very clean and so beautifully decorated. Every single thing we could possibly need during our stay was there. The unit was the perfect size for my husband and I and it was well lit at night with easy parking right in front. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed and thoughtful surprises were found throughout our stay. The location was perfect for our event at Grind City Music Fest, however, it would also be perfect for anyone visiting Memphis. It is very close to the Main Street trolley stop, across from Soul and Spirit Brewery and within walking distance (if you are in decent shape) to The Peabody and Beale Street. This place was immaculate. While compact, what more could you need. The kitchen was fully stocked AND the hosts leave a basket of goodies, a bag of ice and soda in the fridge. The bathroom has every toiletry you can imagine. Forgot something??? Trust me, they have you covered. Upon leaving, they even left a gift on the porch for us. These amazing people even had a travel cup made for us, including the dates AND the event we went to. We will definitely be going back to Memphis and staying here. ##### Lynn R. We've never stayed close to the downtown area, bc I have always been worried about safety. I decided to take the chance this year, and found The Shaws apartment. It was serendipity! Perfect little apartment for a couple with everything you need. Kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need to make meals, bathroom is stocked with extra toiletries and soap and towels. I knew we'd chosen to stay with someone who goes above and beyond when we walked in an had a Welcome basket full of yummy goodies! I've never had owners do that before! It was nice to just sit down and have a snack after driving all day! They give you plenty of information about local attractions and restaurants, and Linda was so quick with communication. The street is quiet, security cameras around the premises, and for a moment I forgot this was not my house. It felt like someone took the time to think about all the amenities that are important to me! If you forgot it, they have it. I had make-up removal wipes, shower caps, freshly rolled towels. The room’s cleanliness and fresh linen scent from the sheets and pillows made me feel at home. This property even included an in-house concierge who I had to book accommodations.
