"Barhroom and the room needed updating and work done. Trim and wood was very worn/weathered, couldn’t find channels on TV Roku, pictures on internet looked better than actual place, bedding was old and had stains, bed was comfortable, pool was closed, staff were helpful. Whole really does need a remodel. For $150 I was expecting a little bit nicer place. It worked ok since we just needed a place to sleep."

"Expedia listed the stay at $72 after all fees. I was charged an extra $9 for booking fee at check-in. This isn’t the reason for poor ratings. Rated poorly due to the terrible bed, bathroom and poor condition of the room overall. I’d suggest skipping the Budget Inn of Long Prairie,MN."

"First time I’ve stayed at a place without staff in the lobby. Check-in was fine, a code was texted to my phone which when entered opened up a box with the key. Biggest thing is there is no ice machine. A convenience store is less than a block away. Because the fan & temperature control is under the window, it blows and curtain up and at times exposes what is in the room. You might want to bring clips to secure the curtains to one another. Fairly quiet, I did hear the dog in the room a couple of times."
