"The property is beautiful and newly renovated. Surrounded by olive trees and tuscan hills. The stay was very pleasant and the staff is very friendly. However, the management needs to improve two things. Firstly, the hotel is extremely understaffed. This means you wait for everything (e.g. I waited for a pool towel for 40 min). Even though the staff is very engaged they simply don’t have the manpower to attend to all guests. Secondly, the agressive in-hotel pricing policy makes for an unpleasant element. The hotel asks to be paid 20 eur for an avocado toast for breakfast, which is unacceptable. An espresso costs 5 eur or a bottle of water by the pool costs 7 eur. Comparing these prices to hotels/restaurants etc. in Tuscany makes you wonder why is this hotel so expensive."

"Wir waren eine Woche zu Gast, mit 2 Familien a 7 Leute. Genug Platz für alle. 4 Schlafzimmer und auch 4 Bäder dazu( das war in der Beschreibung des Hauses schlecht erkennbar)War aber alles top. Der Pool ist Oberklasse. Haustierfreundlich ist es auch. Waren zufrieden obwohl keine Klimanlage vorhanden ist. Die Auffahrt zum Haus ist ein Abenteuer, aber zu meistern. Und es sind ca 20 Minuten Fußweg bis in den Ort."

"We really like this place. Pool was very nice and staff were mostly helpful. Its a pretty good location to visit multiple areas as well. Room air conditioner did an ok job upstairs in bedroom loft but struggled to keep it cool in the sitting area on main level. The view from the tower is awesome but its a climb"

"Beautiful place to relax and enjoy the Chianti area. One of the best breakfast we’ve ever had in Italy. The wine tasting experience was fun and we highly recommend it. The Osteria was great with excellent traditional food. All the staff were great. The pools were fab, although the further one was closed when we tried it. We’d gladly go back to visit again"
Villa With Private Pool In The Heart Of The Chianti Region

"San Piero Terra is a wonderful old property full of charm and character with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our party of 8 adults. It is well appointed with everything needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The pool definitely helped to keep us all cool in the heatwave and the gardens offered plenty of shade when required too. The villa is in a very quiet rural location, a 10 minute stroll from the pretty village with a couple of bars, shops, restaurants and a small supermarket with Montevarchi just a 25 minute drive away offering larger supermarkets and shopping and train links to further afield. It is perfectly placed to visit Sienna (50 mins drive) Florence (1 hr drive) Pisa (2 hour drive) and San Merino (3 hour drive) all well worth a visit. The view of the Tuscan landscape is beautiful, looking across the vineyards to Castello Di Meleto which offers tours around the castle and wine tasting, an experience we very much enjoyed. The castle is a half hour walk up a hill but the views are definitely worth the climb and the restaurant halfway home is a welcome pitstop! On arrival, we were welcomed by Vincenzo who looked after us very well, as did the neighbour who came to check on us after a particularly spectacular thunderstorm. All in all, Gaiole in Chianti is a wonderful place to experience and explore the culture, food and wines of Tuscany and I would thoroughly recommend this Villa to relax and exploreThanks Ilaria for a wonderful family holiday"
