The property was under construction. Our room smelled of paint, but the room was very clean and comfortable otherwise. We had a great night sleep and the bathroom had been updated which was a nice surprise. Only stayed one night - would stay there again, but request a quiet room.

Nice place to stay. Standard hotel breakfast included. Is a good home base to explore the Kerr Lake area.

Charles Bass House is a lovely home, and John epitomizes the southern gentleman. The home was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and most inviting. John treated us like royalty. Great location, noisy air conditioner

Thought the breakfast could have been better and the parking was difficult however the resort was beautiful, rooms were comfortable, cozy and clean, staff was very friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend this resort.

It is located in a safe and calm environment considering the sketchiness of the area. The room was comfortable (small shower, tho) Breakfast was good; you could make your own waffles, they had eggs, coffee some fruits, yogurt etc... The staff was kind and friendly. We stayed during high season, therefore, there were no vacancies and the rate was the highest considering the area. So, it wasn't cheap compared to Other hotels with similar characteristics

I did not like that one lady was rude when I ask her some questions about my room.
