The location is good for the beach. The smell is bad inside. This is a party hotel. Shower was dirty and sporadic hot water. Bed is a brick. The breakfast was good

Bad location bad water pressure poor staff breakfast was very poor food was cold and not cooked properly raw bacon the service was poor and not timely opened at 7:30 but took them till 8:00 to get all the food out and most of it was the day before left overs not good

We are very sorry that your experience at Mahara wasn't good. Our breakfast is always ready at 7 so it looks really weird that you complain about it not being ready at 8. The bacon is cooked at high temperature in the oven so it can't be raw. Maybe you like it more crispy. As for the bad location, we are sorry to hear this since we are on the sea promenade, five minutes walk from the historical city centre... that's not a bad location! We are always ready to welcome constructive critics but your 1 score just look like an outburst. Best regards.

Alright for an overnight stay
The hotel is ‘alright’. There’s small pool with loungers, but try sitting near it, a shuttle to the beach is another option. The superior room we had had a broken balcony door, however, the receptionist was helpful and moved us to another room. Whilst clean, the room did smell of stale smoke and the pillows were very hard, the bathroom decor tired. That said, it is an ‘alright’ hotel. We were passing through and stayed one night. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and it’s fairly well located with secure underground parking. More positive than negative on the whole but I wouldn’t rush back to the town. It’s suitable if you are in need of a well priced base before taking a couple of hours drive to Erice which was a welcome return to scenic, beautiful Sicily at its’ best.

The facility is mediocre. Location probably good for beach combers but not for others. Desk staff is very poor and failed us on numerous occasions. This is just a hotel for group tours.

Great experience at Mahara
The hotel staff went all out in helpfulness and courtesy. When there. Were no taxis working to get us to the bus station one of thestaff drove us herself. They helped us plan our transportation with the bus schedule The food in the restaurant was outstanding even though there were only a handful of guests offseason. For breakfast they provided free room service with food fit for a king,s banquet.

FANTASTIC
We had a fantastic breakfast in the courtyard. The staff was friendly when we arrived and told us about breakfast the next morning, but the experience was better than expected. The food selection was enormous and the courtyard amazing. The location is close to the beach. We also met the owner Antonio and he gave us an explanation of the history of the location. He was so passionate. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

Great hotel for everyone!
The hotel is great, literally across the road from an amazing beach and sea. Restaurants and the best ice cream places can be found along the main road where the hotel is located (perfect for those with a sweet tooth like me). Inside the hotel and room is super clean and all the staff are really nice and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable at all times. The view was amazing from the room. The pool is nice and big with enough room to swim. I cannot express in words how much of a great time I had here! I will 100% be back!

utter disgrace
We arrived on monday 8th July to an average room which was supposed to be superior. On the 2nd day there was a power failure rendering the hotel without running water, sanitation, lights, air conditioning or electricity at the socket outlets. We were advised this would be restored on various ocassions which proved to be incorrect. The power was off for almost 48hrs with no assistance from hotel staff ie providing candles, bottled water etc. As soon as we found another hotel me, my wife and 2 young children left immediately.

It is in a convenient location about a 10 minute walk from the city center. It is on the waterfront, but about 1 km from the beach. The waterfront is littered with trash and smells badly in some places. The staff is efficient, but not everyone is very helpful. They speak limited English. The lobby is nice, but the hallway where my room was located needed to be refurbished and smelled a bit odd. The room was plain, but clean and a nice size by the standards of many European hotels. I did not try the restaurant. It is an adequate hotel, but is nothing special.

Very nice
We just stayed in the Mahara while visiting family in Mazara and it was very nice. Clean room, free wi-fi, large shower, nice pool and a pleasant staff. It's definitely not a four star, but I read reviews before staying there so that's what I excepted, but it was still a great place for the price and I would stay again!

Non è un 4 stelle. Ha bisogno di una profonda ristrutturazione. Ci sono parti totalmente in stato di abbandono. Unica nota positivia la qualità del materasso e lenzuola. Camera (suite) poco accogliente. Polvere ovunque. Colazione molto abbondante e varia, qualità accettabile, personale di sala molto gentile. In definitiva non vale il prezzo pagato. Ci sono 3 stelle nettamente superiori.

Pro: Ottima posizione per lungo mare/centro città; staff della reception accogliente; parcheggio sotterraneo incluso nel prezzo; vicinanza giochi per bambini nel lungomare; ristorante qualità/prezzo sopra la media (menù fisso) Cons: hotel non indicato per una vacanza in spiggia (la più vicina dista 1,5km); zona piscina mal organizzata (poche sdraio in rapporto agli ospiti); la struttura organizza eventi privati (lauree/battesimi etc.) per cui nei we meglio chiedere prima di prenotare; palestra nella stessa struttura ma servizio esterno non incluso nel prezzo (nei servizi della struttura era indicata come compresa); pulizia delle camere decisamente da migliorare;

Arrivati dopo l'orario previsto per il check in e ciò nonostante abbiamo dovuto cambiare 3 camere perché erano errate o non pronte. Avevamo preso camera con vista mare e invece si vedeva un muro. In più proprio sotto la camera, la sera l'hotel aveva organizzato un evento per non ospiti con musica alta fino quasi a mezzanotte che impediva di dormire.

Buongiorno, ci dispiace della sua esperienza non soddisfacente, ma ci teniamo a precisare che le abbiamo subito cambiato camera (una volta, non tre) e che non esistono camere vista mare che vedono un muro. La musica viene sempre spenta entro la mezzanotte, e ovviamente era una serata particolare, non c'è quotidianamente. Cordiali saluti.

Bella struttura,anche se lasciata andare in alcune zone. Camera buona con TV obsoleto,sedia nel terrazzino rotta.Inattesa dagli ospiti la regola di non stendere i teli mare, a vista nel patio.Personale disponibile anche se da migliorare la organizzazione del concierge che dovrebbe riuscire a trovare la soluzione di ogni problema( un albergo sul lungomare che non ha accessi spiaggia,e che non ha convenzioni o prelazioni con i lidi per gli ospiti, avendo una piscina troppo piccola per il numero complessivo degli ospiti). Ottima la colazione.Assente però le precauzioni contro il Covid.

Hotel datato e sporco. Siamo arrivati in questo hotel e le nostre camere non erano pronte e nemmeno pulite, lenzuola e bagno erano sporchi. Pochissima attenzione alla situazione Covid. Avrebbero dovuto santificare tutto prima di pulire. Inoltre la cornice della porta di una delle mie camere è venuta giù all'improvviso. Abbiamo chiesto alla reception di sistemarla ma le receptionist dopo avere riso animatamente (e non capisco cosa ci sia da ridere dato che il paraspigolo di legno è pesante e pericoloso) ci hanno detto che lo avrebbero sistemato il giorno dopo. La piscina era sporca nonostante la finta pulizia alle 9 del mattino che avveniva con un tubo d'acqua un po' dappertutto, anche su lettino e sdraio che si sono bagnati compresi gli asciugamani e le persone che erano sopra. Da evitare. Ci sono tante strutture che hanno quattro stelle molto meritevoli rispetto questa

Ottima struttura e ottima zona fronte mare... anche se in periodo invernale l’hotel si presenta ben curato... receptionist cordiali e professionali... buon la colazione... in zona diverse strutture ristorative raggiungibili anche a piedi... la struttura si trova a pochi minuti dal centro di Mazara del Vallo... consigliatissimo

L’état des lieux est un peu vieillissant. Les chromes des salles de bain sont vieux. Le fauteuil de balcon est tout abîmé, les coussins ne vont pas dessus et quand on en a demandé un 2ème vu que l’on est 2 ils nous ont mis une chaise de jardin en plastique😫 D’autre part vous ne mentionnez pas que le SPA est payant et il n’est pas très frais non plus.

Front desk works well. Rooms nice and clean. Location ok, close to everything but the beach is not nice at all. Go 20-30 minuters East and the beach is really nice. Bar guy nice and good service. Breakfast ok. Not great. Ok. Service was good though. Not a small cute place. Lacks personality and charm. But worth the money for sure. Easy parking.

Abbiamo prenotato questo hotel soprattutto per la vicinanza al centro e per la comodità di parcheggio, prevedendo una sosta abbastanza rapida. Trattandosi di un hotel 4 stelle con wellness, speravamo però in una struttura più accogliente e con servizi di miglior qualità. Il check in è stato veloce ma impersonale e non ci è stato proposto nulla di quanto la struttura poteva offrire (piscina, wellness, spiaggia). Le camere, pur pulite, spaziose e con balcone, sono decisamente datate e avrebbero bisogno di un ammodernamento. Anche la colazione ci ha deluso, per la categoria dell'hotel: offerta contenuta e qualità da rivedere.

Comfortable nice room directly at the beach/boulev
Good hotel. Parking garage under the hotel. Accessible via elevator. We stayed there because of the wedding of Sicilian friends. Very friendly staff! Good to know is that you need to call the reception to turn the airconditioning on and off. It took us 3 nights to figure that out. Not everyone in the hotel speaks English, same goes for a lot of people in Mazara. Nice hotel, would recommend it!
