I cannot say enough how utterly incredible this place is. We stayed for a week and we had a partial sea view jr suite, our balcony overlooked palm trees and floral bushes and all you can hear is waves crashing from afar and birds tweeting it was beyond peaceful. The room itself was beautiful, the bed was ridiculously comfy, bathroom was spotless, shower was amazing and the refillable fridge was an added bonus! The staff couldn’t be more lovely, so polite and friendly and helpful from the pool staff to the bar staff and the kitchen staff, all were amazing. WiFi wasn’t the strongest but who cares when you’re in a place like Mauritius! You want to switch off from the world. There are 4 or 5 restaurants you can book however we found we were only able to book 1 of them over the time we stayed and realised it’s because they only have a limited amount of tables each day in comparison to the amount of people staying, BUT it really didn’t matter, the buffet was INSANE!! fresh curry and rice from the Indian buffet, fresh noodles and meat or veg dishes straight from the wok, fresh made pizza and pasta, fresh grilled fish, steak, roast chicken, duck, salad GALORE, they even had fresh made sushi the one evening!! Bar staff making any cocktail you like, a big selection of wines and spirits, soft drinks, juices, mimosa’s at breakfast, honestly I cannot praise the Riu Palace enough, we will be back 1000%!!"
