"We cannot say enough positive things about our stay. Everything was perfect we were close to everything we wanted to do. Close to Walmart for food and fast food if you need a bite to eat on the go, close to the beaches, and the zip lines, atv park and natural water slides. We stayed 5 days with three teen kids, my husband and myself- we loved the views, the beds were comfortable and the ac was cold when we wanted it (mainly just at night). The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for basic meal prep. Parking was on site close to our unit. There’s fruit trees near by, and we loved the singing frogs. Make sure you are ok doing steps if you stay in the upstairs units. We were fine with it but that’s the only thing I think would be important to know before booking. There are local dogs that bark at night and roosters that crow each am- nothing that kept us from sleeping but just be aware, bring a fan or ear buds if you are a light sleeper. We will definitely be back!"
OCEAN VIEW VILLA WITH PRIVATE POOL ,STEPS FROM SECLUDED BEACH, GATED COMMUNITY!
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely stunning home and an amazing location. We traveled here as a family with grown adult children and had absolutely wonderful day. The house is just like the photos if not even better there was a starfruit tree in the backyard and the fruit was delicious. The air-conditioning worked great and the screens really helped in the kitchen area with fans to keep the mosquitoes away. The only thing I would say is the check-in code to get through the gate and the contact information is wrong. The host said they sent instructions separately, but I did not receive them and they did not check in with me through the app to make sure I received them and unfortunately the phone number on the app did not work. When we arrived at around 9 PM at night, we could not get through the gate. Fortunately, the person that was on the phone number on the Vrbo app. Instructions did answer and we eventually were able to get through. So I would just say simply be sure that you have your accurate check-in instructions and check in with the host and hopefully they will update their phone number on the appThere was a scheduled maintenance with electricity, and the whole neighborhood had no electricity for the day. The house has a really great generator unfortunately it does trip easily and so I would also make sure the host tells you how to get the generator running again because that’s very simple, but unfortunately, we had to wait quite a while for the maid to come and show us how to get it goin"
"My husband & I stayed for 5 days, 4 nights.
This place was EXACTLY as pictured in the photos. I didn't know if it was going to be as beautiful as it was in the photos, but I trusted the previous reviews and gave it a try.
I'm so glad I did!
It exceed our expectations in beauty, comfort, and pure tranquility.
The bedroom, outdoor dining, and yard were spacious.
This place was located at the edge of El Yunque Rainforest.
It was a SPECTACULAR view to wake up to everyday, and the Rainforest Melody came to life at night!
The kitchen and bathroom were smaller than we expected, but were still exactly as pictured, so that was on me.
What I didn't understand before booking was total space available to us.
From my understanding, after staying, is that it's a 2-story house. The owner, or caretaker, lives upstairs, and the 1st floor is for the guests.
It's far (1 hour) from San Juan, but was super convenient when we booked the 3:30am ferry from Ceiba to Culebra. It was less than 20 minutes to the ferry.
Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, 2 shower towels are provided in the bathroom (no face wash rags).
Dish soap, dish sponge, and paper towels were provided in the kitchen.
There is a washing machine outside. There's no dryer, but there's clothes lines & clothes pins.
Bring your own laundry soap.
It's good to note that you can get away with only speaking English in San Juan, but if you stay in rural areas, you should be, at minimum, well-established in basic Spanish."
