This bed and breakfast is charming. Everything from the quaint room decor to the delicious cooked breakfast and company of out host Judy was just what we needed on the first night of our vacation. We would definitely come back again!

Very cozy & secluded. Short walk to river. Very friendly couple and wonderful homemade breakfast! So much better than hotel in town for our roadtrip!!

Perfect hidden gem

This was a great and relaxing place to stay. The couple running it are very welcoming and served delicious breakfast. Was a perfect place for our anniversary getaway.

Wonderful country get-away! Rooms were clean and quaint. The farm was so fun to explore with lots of recycled metal sculptures throughout. Cute and friendly farm cats were a wonderful surprise! The hot breakfast (egg bake, warm Bundt coffee cake and fresh cut Georgia peaches) was the best breakfast I’ve had in a LONG time. Hosts sat with us during breakfast and shared amazing stories of the farm and their family. It was such a warm and personal end to the trip. I highly recommend The Cupola Inn Bed & Breakfast!

A great overnight!

We stayed one night for a friend’s celebration. Everything was lovely. The owners were very personable and the hot breakfast brought to our room was delicious! If we visit the area again, we’ll definitely stay there!

Can’t even describe how pleased we were with the Cupola Inn. Hosts Judy and Dale… nicest folks ever. The place was so welcoming… you’ll love it, too, especially if you love cats and barns!

Beautiful property and very nice owners! Country setting with walking trails around the acreage. It has well water so bring plenty of bottled water. You won’t want to drink it.

The hosts, Judy and Dale, are fantastic! We enjoyed talking with them the evening that we arrived, and hearing the history of how Cupola Inn B & B came to be, almost 28 years ago! The breakfast that Judy made for us in the morning was delicious. We chose to eat it, family style, with the other guests in the Round Barn, which was another fun experience! We would have also loved to float down part of the Winnebago River with Dale during our stay, but unfortunately the river was too high and fast for us to do so. We plan to return sometime when river conditions are more favorable!

Delightful and Relaxing

I felt so happy and at peace here. The hosts were friendly, and the location was beautifully landscaped. There is a river close by where you can sit and watch the rolling water. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The wraparound porch was so pleasant on a summer evening. I was greeted in the morning with a wonderful breakfast. There was no Wi-Fi, but that was a blessing. I enjoyed looking at the beautiful books about barns and covered bridges and just enjoying the peaceful setting.

Limited amenities but very nice people.

The couple was so kind. If you are looking to unplug (not have wi-fi or a lot of access to things nearby)this is the place for you. They had kittens and a beautiful nature area. I just want to make sure that people who are looking for a different type of experience are not misled. There is no Wi-Fi here. The breakfast was adequate. A good place for solitude and reflection.

Fun and Relaxing Getaway

Judy and Dale were absolutely amazing hosts and we would 10/10 recommend the Cupola Inn to anyone and everyone. They have taken so much pride into creating a quaint little getaway and go the extra mile to make their guests comfortable and their stay personalized. Judy met us as we pulled in and personally showed us around the grounds and to our room. They asked us when we would like breakfast delivered and gave us options on where we would like to eat. They were wonderful company as we chose to eat with them in the Round Stone Barn. Breakfast was amazing!! We also got to play with the social barn kitties that roamed the property. After breakfast they we asked if they could show us around some more and Dale got to show us his sculpture garden and Eye-Max. They really are wonderful hosts and a wealth of knowledge! I hope to be able to come back again soon!

We loved the owners! They were so nice and fun to talk to. Wish they were our neighbors! Their place is so peaceful. We sat on the deck and watched a beautiful sunset! Life is good! The breakfast was great and eating in their round cute barn they built was a highlight!! Can't say enough good things about this place. See it for yourself!!

Cute and quiet

Wow what an adorable place. We felt so welcomed and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing.... home cooked meals are the best. You're definitely off grid but it was so relaxing being off social media. I would stay here again.

My brother and I were riding in the RAGBRAI bike ride across Iowa and a mid-week overnight town was Mason City. We booked the Cupola Inn B&B after the 100 mile ride day, and it was a great place to stay. The proprietors went over and above to make our stay comfortable and convenient. My wife, had she been with us, would have loved the flower beds, "farm art", cats, and the cupolas. It was enjoyable to walk around the grounds and see everything. We took care of our gear using the onsite washing machine and dryer so we had clean clothes for the rest of RAGBRAI. We did not stay for breakfast, unfortunately, but it seems it is prepared to order and not a set menu. I just can't say enough about what a calming and quiet reprieve the Cupola Inn was mid-week. If I'm ever back in Mason City, I'd love to take my wife and stay at the Cupola Inn.

Barn and wildflowers!

The couple that hosted/owned Cupola was excellent! The breakfast was amazing daily, The place was clean and easy to find! Loved having coffee by the wildflowers!!

Loved the uniqueness of this B&B. Judy was vey friend,y,and helpful. The property looked great…unfortunately it was cold and rainy during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy it. Room was cozy, bed comfy and breakfast was yummy. Would definitely recommend this little gem.
