### Nice house in a relaxed and peaceful environment

Villas Vista Masaya is a small bungalow park that is managed by the Dutch couple Joop Hakvoort and Nel Verbree. They offer you a private home where four people can live.   
  
The four bungalows have two bedrooms with 2 single beds, one bathroom with hot shower, a separate toilet room and each has its own spacious terrace over the full width of the house with a hammock and rocking chairs. You can also place your table outside if you wish. The houses are spacious and equipped with all the comfort you want.   
  
The site is 2 km away from the town of Masatepe along an unpaved but always accessible road.   
  
There is free WIFI in the bungalow, but also at the swimming pool. Only the guests on the site use the swimming pool. You will receive an extra towel in your linen package. Your beds are made upon arrival and you can have your linen changed. You can also have the laundry done for a fixed fee. You can also have your house cleaned for a fixed fee, but you can also choose to do it yourself.  
  
You will be surprised about nature and tranquility here, but also the pleasant climate because of its location at an altitude of 450 meters. We hope you will feel at home soon.   
At night you can see the red reflection of the Masaya volcano, but also the silhouette of the Mombacho volcano. In Masatepe and most other "white villages" of the plateau you will find many restaurants and souvenir shops. Your own covered terrace has a beautiful view, but also at the swimming pool and at many other places on the property.  
  
We grow coffee and lots of fruit trees. You can always pick fresh fruit from the trees, such as mango, citrus fruit, but also the lesser known fruits such as the nancite.  
  
Particularities:

\- picking fresh fruit from the trees  
\- your car at hand next to your house in a guarded park  
\- most highlights of Nicaragua reachable within an hour's drive  
\- peace and quiet in a relatively fresh climate (exceptional for this area)  
Additional filtered water, towels, sheets and free WiFi.   
  
The Dutch managers live in their own house on the park and are always available to answer your questions about the park, the environment or the day trips that you want to make to discover Nicaragua. There are also two smaller bungalows for two people and two houses for permanent rental.  
  
The excursions include the handicraft market in Masaya, the two volcanoes Mombacho and Masaya (which you can see from the park), the virgin beach of Boquete or the colonial city of Granada.   
On Sundays you will find many Nicaraguans from the capital on the road from Masaya to the white villages. They look for refreshment, buy a gift at one of the roadside stalls and have lunch at one of the many restaurants. And on heyday there is even a traffic jam to the Apoyo crater lake, because people want to swim there.   
  
It is relatively easy to take a bus or taxi in the town of Masatepe. The tuctuc (mototaxi) passes by the park and in your folder in the bungalow you will also find the telephone number of the taxi with the rates for the various trips. It is an alternative to renting a car.  
The price from the airport in Managua by taxi varies from $ 40 to $ 50, depending on the number of people.   
The last mile is a dirt road and a higher car is more pleasant here. The place is hard to find. That is why we advise everyone to contact us first so that we can pick you up from the central park near the Catholic church of Masatepe.

The villa itself was beautiful !! Gorgeous views, wonderful pool, trails to hike, great people staffing as well as others staying on the property. 8 bungalows with other guests, and still very private. Access was a bit difficult. Road to property is dirt and very rough with many potholes from rainy season. Not regular car access type. Roads in Nicaragua leave much to be desired.. to say the least. Highways are excellent but be prepared for the driving !!

I cannot say enough good things about this property. The Host Nel was amazing, she was very helpful and instantly made us feel at home. She gave us a tour of the 20 acre property and showed us where to pick the fresh fruit from the trees. She really brought all the guests together on the property and made it feel like a little community. There was games every night which was a lot of fun, and the salt water pool was so fresh and warm. The views from the suite where absolutely stunning, and our villa was well equipped with amenities. My partner and I had the best time met the best people and we will definitely be returning one day. If I could rate it 11 out of 10 I would.

We have been traveling Costa Rica and Nicaragua for the last couple of years. We stayed here so we could see the Masaya Volcano. But the surprise was how wonderful Nan and the property was. Beautiful rolling hills, fruit trees, coffee plants, and a view of Lake Managua from the cabin and the pool. Nan arranged a tour for all of the guest of a farm and a factory that was just fantastic. We didn't get to do everything we wanted to do, so we will be returning. If you are going to visit the Volcano or are in the area, stay here. Nan is the best host I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I will be sending my friends. Stay here.

#### An amazing get away and an awesome host.

We stayed here for just 4 nights and wish we had spent our whole trip here. The place was serene, abounding with fruit trees and our host Nel is one in a million. Not enough space to write about how she went above and beyond to make our journey and stay the best experience possible. Such a beautiful property and the people are wonderful. We had the best time. The villa was spotless, beautiful and quiet. #### Beautiful cottage in a tranquil setting

We had a great experience there! Place matched our expectation and it was exactly like how the vrbo overview had described the home. Nel took great care of us. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids(5 and 9 years) old. It was peaceful retreat overlooking the Masaya lake. The kids had a blast there! , Kids did a lot of fresh fruit picking, running around the trees. Nel even got us fresh coconut water. We lazed around in the hammock enjoying the view, took hikes. Kids had a good swim in the pool. Nel was very friendly and took care of us right from arranging the taxi, recommending touristic spots. She was always on time and helpful! Property was well maintained. If you do not know spanish, would recommend getting a taxi from Nel. The taxi driver was reliable and stayed with us the whole day! Would definitely recommend this place, especially for families with kids.

We had a great time at Nel and Joop's place, overlooking Lago Masaya. She was very helpful with tips about the area and present just enough and not too much. We were happy to contribute to the social effort of employing local people on the property. We LOVED making juice every day with freshly picked oranges from the garden. The house is very appropriately equipped for all you might need. Do make sure you purchase the food you'll want before heading up from Masatepe because you are not going to want to leave!
