2 night stay in Old Medina Marrakech.

As a ‘older’ female traveling solo I had some concerns about staying in the old Medina. You get dropped off in a parking lot and have to find/walk to this hotel down a small alleyway. SO glad I did this!! What an incredible stay! Cannot recommend this place highly enough. From the staff to the quiet room to the private dinner and delicious breakfast… I cannot find the words to say how fantastic this place is. It is right in the middle of everything- and less than a safe, 10 min walk from the main square where I met my walking tour. If you’re looking for somewhere authentic, with excellent service that’s not a mainstream hotel - stay here!

The staff are the star of this place! Yes, it is a lovely hotel that is somehow quiet and peaceful, despite the madness outside in the medina. Our rooms felt modern and quirky, which may not be for everyone (e.g.: bathrooms are effectively open plan, so anyone inside the room can hear your "business"), but the room is very clean and comfortable. But once again, what makes this a special place is the staff. They are always helpful, with a smile on their faces. Mourad in particular is an absolute star - if everyone in the hospitality industry was like Mourad, then the world would be a much better place! I'd highly recommend this Riad given its location and particularly the staff. You are able to walk to most major attractions and some amazing restaurants... and after surviving the noisy streets, not being ran over by a motorbike and avoiding the annoying sellers, you will be so glad to go back to this riad for some peace, quiet and great service.

I can not say enough. Thank you to Mourand, Quidsam,Fatima, Mariem, Nawal and Gzalane. Each and everyone went out of their way to make us feel like family. The food was out of this word The rooms were exceptional, we needed nothing. Large and felt like I was at home. Helps us money exchange and always wanting to help you. I CAN NOT wait to return. Wonderful stay at Riad Houma! I was hesitant to stay in the Médina thinking it would be too stressful but Riad Houma was the opposite. It was quite and relaxing, felt like we were staying in a spa! The Riad is beautiful and extremely well maintained. Staff is excellent and beyond hospitable. 10/10 stay thank you!

This is a comfortable authentic riad with lovely breakfast and friendly staff. However, there are not many things to do in the property and the hot tub on the rooftop was not working. The location is convenient as it’s in a nice part of the Medina, but also 2 minutes walk to a road that can be used by cars and taxis to get you to/from the airport and places outside the Medina.

Great hospitality and it’s location(close to Fna square). One point that you may better to consider is to book return taxi ride provided by the riad. Otherwise you might be scammed and paid expensive price for scammers. Riad Houma will offer you the taxi booking right after you booked the riad. Offer is 35euro for return. I didn’t take it as I thought it’s expensive first, eventually I have paid 30euro for one way from airport to the riad. This hotel offers everything reasonable and the rooftop pool and sofa surely make you satisfied. Breakfast is available from 7-11am, relaxing lighting in a room make you wanna stay like forever. Since the riad is all stone made, the free wifi is a bit slow but you don’t need any electric devices to talk with stars in the sky through the night.

Underbar oas

Riad Houma är en underbar oas med hjälpsam och mycket vänlig personal . Läget är bra- tio minuters promenad från torget och nära taxistopp. Sviten var rymlig med nedsänkt badkar och två stora handfat. Tyvärr saknades dörr till WC. Takterrassen erbjöd skön avkoppling efter timmar i souken. Frukosten var generös och god . Vi rekommenderar Riad Houma till alla som söker kontrast till Marrakeshs bullriga stadsliv och vi återvänder gärna !

Non benissimo

Ho scelto questa struttura solo per la suite essendo molto grande, pensavo fosse più confortevole. Tuttavia, era al piano terra nella corte interna e non sono mai riuscita a dormire dopo le 7.00 AM. La suite non era insonorizzata, era esposta ad ogni sorta di rumore dei dipendenti che sistemavano per la colazione, di quelli che andavano in cucina che era accanto alla suite e di spostamenti vari. Inoltre, non c'era abbastanza luce nel bagno, non si vedeva nulla: non solo per me era impossibile truccarmi, ma anche il mio compagno l'ha trovato fastidioso. Il servizi sono senza la porta. Durante la colazione è capitato sempre che la donna delle pulizie passasse lo straccio in terra mentre mangiavamo con tutti gli odori del detersivo. Dalla doccia veniva un forte odore di fogna che ci ha accompagnati per i tre giorni di vacanza. Il tappeto della suite non veniva spazzato adeguatamente. Colazione standard buona. Personale cortese. Non ci tornerei.
