The hotel staff were very attentive and kind. The Maratea area is gorgeus and peaceful. The hotel is beautiful with spacious rooms. It is an nice walk to the beach or port area from here. I highly recommend this hotel and the area as a place to go to get away from the crowds in the other tourist areas in Italy.
My friends and I had a great time and were very impressed by the generosity of the staff and receptionists. They went above and beyond to make it a special experience to stay overnight in Maratea

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
They had poor breakfast and the bath was very small
Despite the pool being open they were unable to provide any pool towels. We were told to use out room towels, but not provided with dry ones . The lady on reception when we checked in was not very helpful. However, the morning staff were excellent
This was a one-night stopover on our way down to Sicily, and it was a very pleasant one. After Rome and the Amalfi Coast, we were ready for a little peace and quiet, which we were happy to find here. The hotel is set in a village not far from the coast... we drove down and found a lovely & somewhat secluded lava-shelfed cove to swim in & the humble local pizzeria served us fantastic dinner. Very friendly experience overall. One thing to note: There's nothing glamorous about the "design penthouse" room – it's just a bedroom on the top floor with a low-sloping ceiling – so be aware if you are tall like us. But it was still very nice.
Great location to the small town shops/stores/supermarket. Outlet and hair drier did not work in bathroom, but they supplied an extra hair drier for my wife for our stay. Sheets were dirty on arrival and replacements had lipstick stain. Staff were very helpful, but learn some Italian as in a smaller town like this many people only spoke broken English. I got by by practicing with google Translate. The pool area was lovely. The breakfast was fantastic. I wish they would offer complimentary rides to/from the bus station. Local bus picks up nearby for travel into the historic center.
We really enjoyed Maratea and hotel murmann . The hotel is very nice with spacious rooms ang great views . The location is ideal in a lovely traditional village with some nice shops nice restaurants . This a special part of Italy with hillside historic towns and lovely beach as well . It is also a relaxing friendly peaceful place .

Wonderful amenities & location on the Amalfi Coast !
Centrally located in Minora, they serve a hearty, delicious breakfast, have off-street parking (E18, but worth it) and a friendly, helpful staff. We spent a lot of time exploring the towns nearby, and not much time in the room, which was compact, but had everything we needed.
Definitely would stay there again !
Room tired and dirty. Droppings (?) in crack of chair, cracked loo seat, broken blind. Showed them the blind as soon as they bought our luggage to the room and we were told that they would send someone to fix it but in3 days they never came.
Breakfast was good and the guy looking after us was superb. The girl however, couldn't wait to clear away ahead of breakfast closing hours because we were the only people there so the guy, unprompted told her no, to put everything back.
Beautiful spot but need to do maintenance and proper cleaning of the room.
We really loved the room and area. However, we had the cleaning staff come into our room several times during our stay without knocking which was definitely concerning. The breakfast is amazing though and served on a terrance with fresh fruit, juice, cured meats, bread, cheese, eggs and is the perfect Italian experience!
The hotel is nice. Room was a good size and very nice. Bathroom was food, but shower smallish. Balcony was really nice. Didn’t use the pool so can’t say. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special. Not near the center of Maratea, but some good restaurants nearby.
Excellent hotel friendly staff close to beach. Mare tea is a lovely place

Maratea visit.
Swimming pool is likely sole reason hotel can claim 4 stars.
Breakfast buffet in September is served outside irrespective of unseasonably low temperature.
No lunch and dinner dining after August.
Very small bedrooms and minuscule bathrooms.
Maratea a mountain village with 44 churches !!!!!! and nothing else.
This was the fourth time we have stayed at The Murmann. We love the area, very uncommercial and not touristy. Hotel very comfortable. Lovely helpful staff. Very clean. Pleasant breakfast on lovely small terrace. Small pool. Walkable to the beach. Easy to walk to port and some very nice, casual restaurants in the village
Beautiful Italian building with well maintained courtyard garden area and pool

Not a 4-star property
This hotel has a nice location and is generally well-designed. The initial impression is good with Vietri tile flooring that is stunningly beautiful. The manager is a friendly guy and staff offered some suggestions as to area points of interest. However, it is badly in need of a hotel consultant to help them maintain what they suggest is a 4-star rating. There was no animation or use of the rooftop space, a meager breakfast with signs instructing guests not to take anything from breakfast with them. The bathrooms are woefully small and the shower is miniscule and without anything to hold soap or shampoo. The mini-bar had three items in it, at first giving the impression that it was just a refrigerator with some of the last guest's leftovers. A very slight guest information sheet is provided, noting a charge for beach towels and a big penalty if the towels are not returned. A sign in the elevator says not to hang things out to dry on the balcony railings. All this smacks of a two-star hotel that needs some re-thinking.
Lovely hotel in village of Fumincello. Spotlessly clean. Helpful and attentive staff. Pleasant breakfast. Great for a relaxing trip and excellent base for touring around this lovely area of Italy. Excellent restaurants in the village and nearby port....all walking distance of the hotel. A great place to stay.
Cold, rainy day made for a disappointing stay. Probably not the hotel's fault, but the village and area where it is located had little to offer. The national park was not what we expected -- wooded hills, with no hiking trails or spots of real scenic beauty.
we stayed 5 days in a comfortable, very clean bright and air room. We had a small terrace with a view of the sea and the hotels garden and pool. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located at the edge of a town that has some small modest restuarants, 2 clothing stores, a grocery store and a gelatoria. It is a 5 minute drive ir 15 minute walk from 2 beach ports.
Wanted a relaxing break in an uncommercial part of Italy. That is just want we got....
Lovely area, nice family run restaurants in the village. Great hotel in excellent location . Could walk to beach and port.
The Murmann hotel exudes old-school charm and has caring staff.
In my case, I had a deadline to meet the following day and the female receptionist went out of her way to find a solution. I found this level of service outstanding.
Extremely friendly, family run hotel with excellent helpful staff. Everything spotlessly clean and nice continental breakfast. Pleasant 10 min walk to small beach. Nice restaurants nearby and in Port 20 min walk away.
Hotel Murmann was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern and clean. The service was impeccable, there was always someone at the reception and someone serving you breakfast. Close to the beach and the beautiful statue of the cristo di Maratea. Very recommended!
Hotel Murmann is a lovely hotel which is excellent value for money given it's location and comfort. We particularly enjoyed eating breakfast on the terrace and using the pool. Although the hotel offered continental breafast only, we preferred to choose from a small range of quality food than having a wide variety of tasteless rubbish as experienced in other hotels. The pool area was quiet and we often had the place to ourselves. The location was great with easy access to great restaurants, the beach (one of he few blue flag beaches on that stretch of coastline), the supermarket and the bus. The bus service in Maratea is great as it only costs 60c and stops at the beach, port and the old town where you can get the bus to the Christ the Redeemer statue. All worth visiting. Finally we found the staff friendly and helpful.
I have only good things to say about this hotel. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the lobby and the room. The floor tiles are beautiful and shiny. The size of the room is decent. Toiletries are in big quantities. We had a nice view of the beach from our balcony.
The pool seemed pleasant although, as we were there in October, we didn't use it.
Breakfast was very good. The only hotel during our week-long stay in italy that offered prosciutto with melon. The croissants though were empty. During high season they are filled with chocolate, cream and something else.
Wi-fi was strong at the lobby but not in the rooms. Overall it was an memorable stay before our trip back home.
Una strutturata molto bella e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Camera molto pulita e personale gentilissimo. L'hotel propone una colazione abbondante e deliziosa. Ci ritorneremo volentieri...
