The pools were nice and clean. The staff was incredible. The location was fantastic if you want to be close to the action but not right in the middle of it. Also we saw Macaw’s, Iguanas and monkey’s along with other wild life right from our patio. Also there is an incredible secluded beach within just a short hike from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again. I was literally the only guest there and not notified that they were about to start a long-needed renovation. Still, I was treated with 5-star hospitality. Luciane made me a wonderful breakfast and there was a voucher for use at the lovely restaurant, El Arado, a short walk up the road. Large, clean pool. The rooms are organized into duplex cabanas on a hillside so fair warning to guests with mobility issues. It was quiet and relaxing. The staff was friendly but not helpful when incidents came up, and they were limited with info on things to do. Adrian, the person who prepares and serves breakfast, was very friendly. On top of that, we saw macaws in the trees by the pool. The place was a bit out of the way and quiet, which we like, with nice rooms and a pool. You feel like you’re in the forest. We would definitely go back. Highly recommended. Very affordable rooms too and a short drive to everything you’d want to see. Only five kilometers to Manuel Antonio Park and one kilometer to Quepos, the main town. You can hear howler monkeys too, early in the morning. The breakfast area it outside under a veranda. Bongo is a really cool place to stay if you like to see wildlife! I saw squirrel monkeys, many many white faced monkeys, iguanas and parrots during our stay! We also liked the double bungalows beside eachother. The staff are so nice and we felt safe! Downsides- the breakfast is terrible- cold coffee, watery eggs and hot dogs every morning. I couldn't eat it. No water machines and you have to walk 10-15 minutes downhill/uphill to the nearest convenience store. ##### Sunita Stayed 4 nights in Dec 2023 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Clément Mar 4, 2025 Très agréable séjour, calme et confortable avec une diversité d'oiseaux et autres singes à observer depuis le restaurant en dégustant un copieux petit déjeuner bref de quoi bien commencer la journée ! Le personnel est très accueillant, toujours souriant et aux petits soins en particulier Randall qui est très arrangeant et m'a laissé l'opportunité de garder la chambre quelques heures de plus pour attendre un taxi. Sengen er god! Stedet er noget slidt og man skal ikke være sart over en gekko eller en bille på værelset. Rengøring kunne være bedre, men det hænger nok lidt sammen med det slidte look. Venligt personale, primært unge som hjælper og ejer.
