I called & spoke to Melissa at 4:00 , before I arrived. I informed her that I had a flat tire and would arrive about 7:00pm August 5, 2023. She said great she wanted to go home early. She would leave the key in the room. She should have turned on the heat when she dropped off the key. She did not turn on the heat and it was 55 degrees in the room, 32 degrees outside. I didn’t realize that the bathroom window was wide open. We tried to sleep. I put 3 blankets on the bed. That didn’t help. The sheets were so cold I couldn’t even lie down. I e mailed Melissa at 12:30AM but nobody works at that time. So we had a miserable night, no sleep. The next morning I went to use the bathroom and I discovered the open window. It’s terrible that the cleaning service or Melissa did not take the time to properly prepare the room. In addition, the handle to the shower was broken and fell off in my hand. The following morning Brett knocked on the door and I explained everything. He brought a space heater. I felt that because the room was impossible to sleep in for the 1st night he should make some adjustment in room rate. He declined and said it wasn’t the hotels fault. His comments are disgraceful. If the room is unlivable because 2 employees didn’t properly prepare the room I have to ask whose fault it is. The room was expensive, the furnishings are dated and you hear all the noises from outside. There is no soundproofing. I suggest you run from try his property. Don’t waste your money!!!!
