Muthu Belstead Brook Hotel

"We stayed at this hotel for 1 night and found it to be great. The staff were really helpful, the pool was lovely and warm and the rooms were clean. The only issue we had was that the hotel was obviously having problems with water pressure. We could have a boiling hot shower but if you tried to turn the cold tap on, the whole lot stopped working. Other guests were having the same problem and it was also causing issues in the pool area. We spoke to the lady at reception and asked if we could have a room with a shower that worked. She went upstairs herself to check the shower in an unoccupied room and gave us a new key. We were very happy to find that we had been upgraded which was a nice surprise. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. I also had a massage in the spa and it was probably the best massage I've ever had. It wasn't perfect, but problems were dealt with efficiently and the atmosphere was really friendly. I would stay again."

"While the room did have air conditioning, it made enough noise to raise the hounds of hell, while the air produced was tho cooler than tepid and had the force of an asthmatic mouse with one lung blowing through the straw! Parking for the night cost just under £10"

"Lovely old property on the edge of town. Front Desk staff on arrival were OK but not hugely communicative (morning team were much better). Same with the bar staff although the prices were pretty good. The room was old but clean and tidy. And HOT, although we were in a UK heatwave at the time. They do provide a fan which helped a bit. Overall a decent place to stay and would stay again if passing by that way again."

"Only problem was parking, non-cancellable booking and advised after booking made of £ 10 car park fee, had to pay as could not cancel ! Car registration details not linked to room number so if blocked in, that is how you will stay !"

"The communication was poor I contacted them twice about check in time and never received a reply. Apart from that the stay was perfect. Staff were great especially the young dark haired girl in breakfast who was an absolute credit."
