Perched atop a hill, its medieval castle and hanging houses are its most distinctive features. The town itself is small enough to explore entirely on foot, with cobbled streets winding up to the castle and the Church of San Vicente. This area is particularly appealing to couples looking for a romantic and picturesque retreat, with opportunities for quiet strolls and enjoying the local architecture.Oña provides a different historical focus, centred around its impressive Monastery of San Salvador. The town's layout is shaped by the monastery and the River Oja, offering a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. Its main street has a selection of local shops and eateries.
