If the Garden of Eden and Swiss Family Robinson had a baby it would be San Simian! Food was best we’ve had in all of Nicaragua. Amazing property with unbelievable terraced gardens down to the pebble beach, where you can go tubing, kayaking or swimming. Our cabana was absolutely huge with a top floor lounge and balcony with views of the lake. Don’t just want to go back, want to move there!!! Will be a regular stop any time we are in Nicaragua. Owner is the most friendly and interesting expat we’ve encountered. The location was so beautiful and peaceful. We saw lots of colorful birds around the lodge. We were able to swim in the laguna and use the kayaks. The food and drinks were fantastic. You have to drive outside to main roads, with that being said. The hotel is peace full and quiet. Graet place to relax with access to the beautiful lake. The huts are individually decorated and grounds a nicely kept. Every morning the ground are cleaned and set up for the day by its friendly employees. Breakfast is served daily and dinner is also available for a good price. Dinner does end at 7:15 or so. I would definitely stay in this beautiful place, do bring mosquitos repellent. The food was fantastic. The place itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The whole place is a beautiful garden in what is already a naturally gorgeous area. Dogs are welcome and the owners have a lovely German Shepard pup.
