DO NOT STAY HERE
THEY ARE OVERSOLD and DO NOT HAVE OCEAN VIEW ROOMS. After arriving before 4P o our first day, we waited in the lobby for a key to a room until ~11PM. We showed Khadijah the Duty Mngr and Marsha the General Mgr our Expedia reservation with Ocean View rooms and two beds. We even showed them how you can STILL book ocean view rooms on expedia in real time. Marsha stated, “I’m not arguing back and forth with you. We don’t have ocean-view rooms here.”
We got into the room so late that we couldn’t get blankets for our bed because housekeeping said the laundry is closed. They only had a sheet on the ONE bed, so we slept in the cold. The refrigerator and snack area were both completely empty. We called to ask for bottled water and they told us the giftshop (where small waters were sold for $7USD) was closed. He told us to drink the water from the bathroom. We went to bed dehydrated after a long day of travel with no water.
It’s obvious there’s no formalized customer service training, and no managerial accountability. The way the staff handles situations, moves slowly, and speaks to guests is shocking. We tried to avoid them when possible, but got bad service at all the restaurants.
FAKE LIQUOR: The “liquor” they serve on the resort has the right color/smell, but it takes 4 drinks to feel anything.
LOCATION - It’s 45 mins from the airport. Far from the action so the taxi is $80 USD RT to the north side
