I like: cleanliness, the Superior King room can accommodate for 4 pax. It's a great idea for family with kids but might not be good for elderly since the bedroom is at the upstairs. The design gives the feeling of relax, comfort.. I don't like: the ground floor is quiet and should make the atmosphere more lively. However the main hotel "Heeren Palm Suite" at the opposite is a good one... it's a good experience staying in a Baba-Nyonya hotel in Melaka! What do you think having a cup of coffee in a Baba-Nyonya hotel?

Pleasant stay and great customer service
One of our favourite stays in Malacca. The service staff are excellent and go all the way to help. However, they had to shuttle between Heereen Palm Suites and Heereen Straits Hotel. Breakfast was a decent spread of local food and we loved the handmade epok epok with lots of fillings (and feelings). Great location but a nightmare getting Grab into and out of the area during the long holiday weekend, otherwise it should be fine. Overall, a pleasant stay for a family of 4.

Close to main attractions of Malacca
Great access to Jonkers walk and a short walk over the bridge to Heritage sites of Malacca. You will find lots of shopping opportunities not to mention numerous places to eat all within easy walking distance. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great base for a Malacca visit

Had a splendid stay at this hotel. Walking distance to alot of places. Conveniently located beside jonker walk. Room was very big and clean. Will stay here if i ever visit malacca again.

Great location
Perfect location for Jonker Street and the UNESCO world Heritage Site. Beautiful renovated old heritage building. The rooms were nicely decorated with very comfortable bed.

High quality Heeren Straits.
The Heeren Straits Hotel is on a quiet street behind Junker Walk in Malacca. It is a beautifully presented residence and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Reakfast is served across the road in the palms hotel which is part of the group. I enjoyed my stay there and it is thoroughly recommended

This is our third stay at Heeren Straits and it is quite likely that we will be back for the fourth time. Location wise, it is superb - so near Jonker Street and in the old town. We skipped the breakfast because there were other options nearby to try out.

The Heeren Straits hotel was fantastically located on a parallel street beside Jonker walk. Free overnight parking was also provided with limited space. The rooms were pretty new and updated with comfortable beds and a clean toilet. Overall, the experience was great and I would stay with them if I go back to Malacca in future.

Overall it’s good BUT u need to be very careful when booking the hotel ...even the room stated can accommodate 3pax...but if u didn’t specify it, they will charge u even the child is underaged (less than 6 yrs old free Not 12 yrs old like other hotels do) It’s my 1st encounter though. A bit upset on this matter. Else it will be perfect . Maybe the business is too good that’s why they are very strict on this matter. So be careful when booking the room.

Great hotel
We booked the Vista Room at Hereen Straits Hotel. The room is great and spacious. The room has a balcony. There is privacy when you use the balcony. Good view. I love the balcony. The room is clean. Location of the hotel is near jonker street and to other tourist attractions. The complimentary breakfast is simple. Staff is helpful and friendly. Will return if I have the opportunity.

A most enjoyable stay
We arrived mid-day....as parking is always a concern we asked if we could park, register and then check in later. The staff directed hubby to the secure parking while I checked in as our room was ready. We have never stayed in a boutique hotel in Malacca before and we were impressed. First appearances, the hotel was clean, well maintained and centrally located. Our room was amazing. There was a separate sitting area with the bedroom and balcony upstairs. The room was well appointed and we found it very comfortable for our needs. Major plus....so close to Jonkers and all the action. I thought the location might be a bit noisy as the street market was so close but it was fairly quiet. The market noise seemed to subside at 10:30 pm which to me is quite reasonable. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The small details ie good quality towels, china, and nice furnishings were nice. Breakfast at the sister hotel was basic. Two hot dishes plus eggs of your choice with fruit,cereal breads and hot drinks was quite adequate for our needs. Only concern for others looking at this review is the stairs in the hotel. It was fine for us but for others it might be a problem as the stairs in places are narrow and steep. We would certainly stay here again. Thank you Heeren Suites for the wonderful stay

Good location in heritage area
Very short walk to Jonker St and central activities but just far enough that nighttime bars and noise are not an issue. Hotel staff very helpful. Gee, the woman running the breakfast area, is wonderful! The gentleman cleaning our room, too, was so accommodating.

We would highly recommend this boutique hotel. We stayed in the Vista room. It was immaculately clean, very spacious and had a great balcony overlooking the surrounding area. Staff were friendly and helpful and a breakfast was varied and plentiful.
