The main annoying aspect was the lifts - the building has too many floors to be serviced by 4 lifts. It was quite difficult at times to get up and down. "We stayed briefly at the Kingsbury and our overall experience was fantastic. It's central location is great for exploring Colombo if your trip is short and the actual hotel and food is fantastic. Our room was spacious and clean, and had a great view. The only minor issue is that staff weren't communicative at the restaurants about how to order or the expectation for the buffet/high tea or settling the bill. It was slightly awkward trying to figure out whether we could just grab food or we had to wait etc. It'd be nice if staff provided direction."

"The worst front of house experience I had during my entire trip from staff member Zaid. No smile, no hello, not a single word uttered, just a blank stare until we mentioned we were there to check in, which was then followed by the word 'passports'. This man should be working with machines, not people. The 'gym' is a tiny room squeezed to the brim with odd bits of equipment, pretty dated and unusable. The rooftop dining area is also very dated and not a resemblance of the photos. Other than the poor start to our stay here, the rooms were generally clean and comfortable. The property is located well on Galle Road,"

"We checked-in to suite at Cinnamon life City of Dreams for two nights on our vacation. Cleanliness in the suite was excellent and the bed was very comfortable and a very quite atmosphere. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The Breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide spead. The pool was very clean and the pool staff was great.
