Beautiful Log Cabin on 25 acres. Free WIFI New generator! July specials!

Everything is brand new in this single-floor 'hideaway' on 25 acres, with a large yard and magnificent mountain views. Although on 25 acres you are still 5 minutes away from neighbors. Rental guests of this spacious 'hideaway' on the ground floor of a lovely 3-story cabin will have total privacy, as the above two floors are not furnished or ready for other occupants. Four wheel drive recommended and mandatory in the winter.

New Generac generator! Very important in case of power outage or storm. Feel safe in this beautiful cabin year round!

Enjoy tile floor throughout with area rugs, hallway with adorable Hall Tree for storage and to hang your coats, laundry room with full size washer/dryer, wood blinds at all windows and curtains on door for privacy. All rooms are tastefully decorated with high quality furniture and numerous wall pictures and other 'lodge' decorator items to make guests feel cozy and comfortable.

The living area is very spacious and open with a comfortable sectional sofa in the living room, large flat screen TV, and gas fireplace that vents outside (great for those with allergies).

The dining room provides seating for 6-8 people, and the well-equipped kitchenette has granite counter top, stainless steel refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, Keurig and Mr. Coffee coffeemakers, etc. A brand new Weber gas grill has been installed on the spacious porch leading to the large lawn and mountain views. You can also get exercise by walking up the outside stairs to the deck on the top floor....where the mountain views are even more spectacular. Four brand new and comfortable rocking chairs are on the deck for your enjoyment.

The bedroom is huge with a king size bed and a beautiful handmade bench at the end of the bed. Two indoor rockers for your convenience as well as two twin size rollaway beds (custom made and very comfortable) are also available. Nice linen is provided for beds and bathroom.

LOCATION....LOCATION....LOCATION. Black Bear Lodge is located in the private community of Hornbuckle/Cranberry Falls between the town of Maggie Valley and the town of Cherokee. The several miles of private roads in this mountainous community are ideal for riders of ATVs. The entire area is surrounded by beautiful mountains, lakes, waterfalls, wildlife, hiking trails, white water rafting opportunities, golf courses, and gorgeous scenery -- just to mention a few.

Black Bear Lodge is only one (1) mile from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which has been dubbed 'America's Favorite Drive.' The Haywood County span, with its extraordinarily high elevations, offers motorists breathtaking views of seemingly endless mountain ridges and picturesque valleys, as well as hiking trails. Don't be surprised to see bears, elk, and other wildlife as you drive on the Parkway.

Great Smoky Mountain National Park entrance is just a short drive from Black Bear Lodge. A beautiful drive through the park will end in popular Gatlinburg, TN.

Maggie Valley boasts a rich mountain history and has everything you need, including unique shops and restaurants, parks, golf courses, Cataloochee with skiing and horseback riding, Ghost Town, festival grounds, dancing, mini-golf, and elk viewing.....just to mention a few.

Cherokee is just 15 minutes away, with fine restaurants, museums, Indian reservation, and many sources of entertainment, including the well known Harrah's Cherokee Casino.

Downtown Waynesville (east of Maggie Valley and a short drive from Black Bear Lodge) is a vibrant town with fine shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants, tree-lined brick sidewalks, and many popular events.

Asheville is a little further east of Waynesville and has the closest airport.
The Biltmore (an 8,000 acre estate in Asheville with beautiful gardens and very nice restaurants) is very popular.

This brand new 'hideaway' provides rental guests the opportunity for a wonderful vacation in this very special and unique area of western North Carolina.

Four wheel drive vehicle recommended, mandatory from November-March.

Independence Day weekend stay
The cabin was beautifully located and peaceful. We were close enough to Pigeon Forge for a day trip while spending the day in Maggie Valley was fun for our whole family. Our host Ana responded quickly to any questions and ensured we had a great stay. The cabin had everything we wanted and we will stay again.

Short anniversary trip
It is a beautiful cabin. So quiet and beautiful views. I would have liked a few more keurig pods. There were 2. We didn't have any trash bags there to use. We also could not find the dumpster for the life of us but that is probabky us:-) But....we loved the cabin and enjoyed our time there.

This is our second time staying at this amazing place. Easy access, only a few minutes to get to the cabin from main road. Central location and close to everything. Cabin is immaculate and very nicely decorated. Looks as beautiful in person as it does in the photos. The views are gorgeous. Ana is very sweet and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely come back for a third visit. We highly recommend this place! Ana, thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us.

Enjoyed our stay in Maggie Valley. Property was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Beautiful cabin with great view of mountains andnenty of privacy. Asheville and the National park both close by. As mentioned innother reviews the road up was a little tricky and we avoided driving it after dark. In hindsight we should have driven our jeep. Overall great stay and I would def recommend for anyone who wants to visit the smokies and doesnt want to deal with the Gatlinburg tourist trap.

Cabin is adorable, comfortable and clean. It’s very peaceful and serene. I was happy I found this place. Although I was there for business and was mostly working on my computer ( internet worked great), the beautiful mountain views made work more enjoyable. Will make a point of coming back with the family in the near future.

Perfect even in Heat Wave
We spent a week here during one of the hottest weeks, but this cabin is cool. You get a much nicer property than is available in this price range since you are renting only the lower area. I'd bring a portable hammock if I came back. The view is nice. It is hard to leave the peaceful yard, but there is a lot to do in the area. (Waterfalls, trails cute cities, gambling etc.). Definitely would love to come back.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here and enjoyed everything about the stay. The owner was very helpful and kept in touch so all went well. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with everyday items. We have an AWD vehicle and were glad to have it as the gravel roads are up and down. The drive was well worth it for the remoteness and peacefulness.

Ana was great in communicating with us before the trip, making sure we had all the information we needed getting to the cabin and how to make the most out of our stay. The property is GORGEOUS! Very cute decorations in Black Bear Lodge as well as beautiful views of the mountains. Ana's recommendations as well as the guest journal provided many ideas of how to take advantage of being in Maggie Valley this time of year. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.
