### Royal Palace

Ideal apartment if you come to work in Madrid. Apartment located in a stately building originating from the 19th century that is history in itself, as part of the original layout of a monumental and urban landmark in Europe: the Plaza de Oriente.   
  
Generous in proportions, beautifully decorated and blessed with impressive views of the Royal Palace and Plaza de Oriente, this splendid dwelling is pure joie de vivre and will delight the most exquisite travellers. Its nearly 300 m2 are intelligently distributed in a spacious living area and three complete and independent bedrooms, guaranteeing the privacy, comfort and amenities that one expects in a luxury holiday, whether travelling with family or on a getaway with friends.   
  
The interior, spacious, bright and with harmonious proportions, exudes composure, balance and classicism, taking advantage of the lordliness of the building's architecture, the magnificent height of the ceilings, the precious original herringbone wooden floor and the magnificent balconies with views, shutters and carpentry work.   
  
All rooms receive a natural bath of light throughout the day, a characteristic trait that imprints great joy, in addition to contributing to the overall feeling of spaciousness and rest. A house to live to the fullest!   
  
Without a doubt, it is a home to live in and receive guests. The entrance is already generous, through the building's portal, with a beautiful facade and imposing interior, with marble floors and baseboards, beautiful woodwork and ironwork, a grand staircase and lift. The property has a doorman. Already in the dwelling, located on the second floor, a large reception area welcomes the guest and leads to the rest of the rooms.   
  
The living area consists of dining room, living room and library connected by wide openings, providing a sense of linearity, order and great spaciousness. The balconies overlooking the street, with their original white wooden carpentry and panoramic views of the monumental complex, share prominence with the beautiful interior design project, of refined aesthetics and taste for classic furniture, period tapestries and textiles and a certain modernist and French-inspired style. The result is a serene, comfortable and aristocratic atmosphere that distils savoir faire, great personality and an embrace of good living in the 21st century from a respect for origins and a great harmony with the palatial environment.   
  
The dining room is presided over by a wide table with seating for eight diners, the perfect hostess of a luxury evening, on par with the Royal Palace. The living room has a conversation and rest area and reading corners brimming with charm.   
  
The property features a spacious kitchen with everything necessary to prepare excellent evenings and enjoy peaceful breakfasts.   
  
Through a corridor, access is gained to the rest area, with two double bedrooms, all of them with en-suite bathrooms.   
  
The main bedroom, which is separated from the other two bedrooms, has its own balcony, a magnificent double bed, a reading area with a shoe removal chair and respective armchairs, and in an annexed room, a spacious walk-in wardrobe with boiseries, large wooden wardrobes and a boudoir in the style of classic ladies' dressing tables, from which access is gained to a complete bathroom that serves this main bedroom.   
  
The second bedroom, also double, equally has a full en-suite bathroom, like the third, which also boasts direct views of the Royal Palace.   
  
A fourth room has a TV and audiovisual equipment, sofa bed and desk, a superb work area perfect for use as an office, sitting room and even extra bedroom.   
  
The historic Habsburg neighbourhood is one of the main attractions of Madrid. The Plaza de Oriente forms part of a great monumental complex composed of the Royal Palace, the Sabatini Gardens, Campo del Moro and the Opera Theatre, all of them important milestones of palatial architecture and urbanism from the Habsburg dynasty era. The Plaza de Oriente is a privileged crossroads just a step away from other must-visit sites, such as Plaza Mayor, the Almudena Cathedral, Plaza de la Villa, Calle Mayor or the Monastery of the Incarnation. A perfect enclave to soak up culture and, in a matter of minutes on foot, by metro or by bus that can be found around the corner, access the main cultural sites of interest, fashion venues, most chic restaurants or commercial streets of Madrid's vibrant centre.

We had a wonderful holiday stay - the apartment was so lovely and spacious. Views were amazing and we loved the style of the apartment. Also, showers were great (water pressure and temperature) and beds were very comfortable. Overall, a fantastic stay and I highly recommend the apartment and host!

#### I would definitely recommend this property! 

This is a spectacular apartment in a great location. Beautiful views with great restaurants nearby. It was great for our family with 5 adults. The pictures are spot on accurate, so the apartment has beautiful antiques-but it’s not modern by any means. This is what’s charming about this lovely apartment- it’s authentic and you’ll feel right at home in this amazing city!

Our two week stay at the property was fabulous. We felt like royalty with plenty of grand spaces and wonderful views. Each room having there own en suite bathroom was a treat for Spanish properties. The concierge,Jesus , was very helpful and friendly. The only problem we had was at check in, Carmen spoke no English. That made it tricky for us. Would highly recommend this property

My family (5 adults) stayed here for 10 days. The bedrooms are far enough apart that everyone had a sense of privacy. All bedrooms had a private bath as well. It is a beautiful apartment so centrally located! There are 9 balconies on this apartment! One could people watch from anywhere in the home. Very close to the metro and literally walking distance to anything you may want, need! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again..

#### Unbelievably memorable

This rental is a dream come true. It's like you are staying IN the palace you are so close and enveloped in history. The home is GIANT. We had so much space as 5 adults and two small children. The people watching from every window is endless. Anyone staying here is so lucky to have such access to a truly remarkable building and part of the city. You are close to metro access, a beautiful pedestrian only neighborhood, sightseeing, grocery and restaurants a plenty. We'd be beyond fortunate to have a chance to stay again.

We had a lovely stay across from the palace. Easy access to morning coffee just downstairs in the cafe and easily walkable to all spots for metro or uber. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the rooms were comfortable. One sleeping room does not have air conditioning but our family didn’t need it. The home cooked quickly. Was a nice place to rest after a long day of walking and sight seeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous apartment! Positioned directly across from the Royal Palace and next door to the Opera House, the location cannot be beat. The Mercado San Miguel -(BEST place for lunch) is a short walk away, as is the Cathedral, Puerta del Sol, Plaza de la Villa, and many other amazing sites. The apartment is filled with interesting furniture and art, as well as a treasure trove of books. The view across the Plaza de Oriente of the Palacio Real is a stunner! Waking up here, you will feel like a blessed character in the most beautiful fairy tale.

We felt it an absolute privilege to stay in this amazing apartment. The apartment was spacious and comfortable for our family, and the location could not be better. It was a short walk from basically everything in the center of Madrid, and for anything farther away there's a metro stop right outside. The theaters, clubs, tablaos, bars, and bakeries of Madrid are in your neighborhood here. We miss the views of the royal palace and the mountains in the distance from three of the five balconies. Though the Calle de Arenal leads to the hubbub of Sol, the apartment itself is quiet at night. Returning to Madrid, I will check availability of this apartment before I consider any other.

#### Zero communication from host.

Nice apartment in a very nice area. There are so many old books in the apartment that it smells like an old library. The apartment needs to be cared for; it was clean but very worn out. Upon my arrival the host sent a very nice lady named Carmen to meet us. Carmen could speak no English so the check in was nothing but a key transfer. Absolutely no coordination at checkout.
