Great location, great apartment but no elevator

Very nice hotel. Room was very clean, apartment very spacious. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. The only thing was that it didn't have an elevator, we were in the 4th floor, 3 adults, a kid and a baby with 4 luggages and a stroller.... that was a lot to bring up and down.... if we would on known we probably would of chosen a different hotel. They did say that they will be getting an elevator soon, so next time that we stay in Madrid we will contact them first to see if they have install it so that we can stay there.

Nice place but not that comfort

It was a clean place and very well located but it doesn’t have an elevator and the toilet fan sounded like a helicopter. It’s that loud which caused a neighbor complain about that.

Top apartment in top location

Great price / quality ratio. People are super friendly and hospitable. Once I selected an apartment the whole process was clearly explained and quick. The apartment is clean, very comfortable and contains everything one needs. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Madrid downtown.

Bad experience for stay here.

The hotel make all wrong and false commitments. They even charge to take towels. They sent an email saying that they will help with luggage transfer on third floor because they don't have lift. But when asked for help they say that it is automatic email and they did not sent it and don't provide any help. Also the guy on the reception is very rude and always trying to mess with guests. For every question, he has only one answer and that is we own 5 buildings here and we cannot look everything. Very bad stay here. Rooms are good but there is lots of external noises which will disturb you a lot. I have to leave this place as soon as I could. There are lots of hotel near this place and in Madrid which is worth this price.

Lo primero es que no hay ascensor y son 4 plantas por unas escaleras de madera antiguas . El apartamento nada que ver con las fotos de presentación , mucho más pequeño . Y encima conseguir hacer el check in es un laberinto , con dos responsables que no te facilitan en nada tu estancia . No sería mi elección en próximas ocasiones

Muy bien situados, limpios y atención muy buena

El apartamento estaba muy bien, situado muy cerca de la parada de metro de Noviciado-Plaza de España, muy cerca de la Gran Vía. Estaba limpio, es muy luminoso y con capacidad para hasta 7 personas. Las camas son muy cómodas y también las almohadas. La ducha es muy grande y cómoda. La parte que daba al exterior puede ser un poco ruidosa si pasa algún camión (estábamos en el primero) y la parte que da al patio interior si el resto de inquilinos de los apartamentos respeta los horarios no hay ningún problema de ruidos. En cuanto al personal han sido muy amables en todo momento e incluso nos permitieron entrar antes de lo que nos correspondía ya que llamamos que ya estábamos por la zona y si podíamos dejar las maletas, nos indicaron que tenían una habitación de consigna pero al llegar ya tenían el apartamento preparado! Nos ha gustado mucho y repetiríamos sin dudarlo en estos apartamentos.

This is an old building, in an area with plenty of local shops bars and restaurants, there is no lift, so third floor 3B apartment had lots of stairs. The stairway is around an open courtyard. We left halfway through our stay as ultimately the noise, music and shouting was just too much to let us sleep, even wearing ear plugs, the managers apologised and offered us a refund without challenge, as there was no alternative available for the rest of our stay. Our one bed apartment had very fast internet, a kitchen area with a washing machine, electric hob, microwave, fridge and kettle. The shower didn’t drain quickly, the shower room was tiny but adequate. Large TV with Netflix, amazon TV etc. apps available to sign into and use. The sofa bed wasn’t particularly comfortable to sit on in the main room. There was efficient air conditioning. The bed was in an area so small it was pressed against one wall, awkward to get in and out, and the blind did not block out the bright light from the stairwell lights that were motion activated and very annoying. The tiled floors and thin walls make this location far too noisy for us to ever consider again.

Location was great. Restaurants, bars, groceries nearby. Check in was easy. However, we were assigned a room on the ground floor, with only interior windows onto a courtyard. Try to get a room on the upper floors that have terrace doors with early morning light.

Great apartment! Very clean! We literally walked everywhere! So many yummy coffee shops and restaurants a 15min walk away from apartment. The shower did not drain properly in 3B FYI. Let staff know 4times and nothing was done. Metro near by but I only used it once! Bring your walking shoes!!

Lovely City, lovely Apartment, great area to stay

Great place to stay, about a 10 minute walk from the shops and bars, down a back street which we were unsure about at first but safe, quiet and the apartment on the ground floor was perfect for us with our pushchair. The apartment I would class as a studio apartment, the photographs on Hotel.com are taken very well which make the place look a lot more spacious than it actually is but it is fully kitted out with kitchen, washing machine and all the things u would need to cook and clean. Bedroom is lovely and the bed is so comfortable, apparently the apartments in the upper floors are bigger but we were happy with the apartment we had 0D. Small but very nice, safe and quiet and very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again in a lovely area and even the back streets that it is located in are always busy with off street bars and places to eat

Not bad.

Small but functional apartments very close to nice downtown area. However, the building is located in a area which is a mix between hypster and poor. There are homeless people maybe drug addicts close by so be careful about safety. Parking spots are very expensive. The hotel staff recommended one but I had to pay 48 Euros for 2 days. This should be improved. Beautiful and Authentic stairs in this old building but easy to slip.

Exceeded expectations

If you want to feel like a resident of a vibrant city well located to major attractions and eateries STAY HERE! If you don’t feel in shape for walking up 4 or 5 story’s DON’T. The staff are exceptional and make you feel right at home. They exceeded our family’s expectations, especially my 7 year old grandson. We would return but order a first floor way in advance.
