The property is ok. The building is in dire need of sound proofing. My stay was ok, but there was a lot of noise from the rooms above and the loud talking and constant bangs were not dealt with by the staff. Not recommended if youā€™re looking for restful nights.

The best part of hotel was location. Very conveniently located. Good breakfast, lots of variety with good coffee. Family rooms vary in size, had to ask to switch as the first family room was very cramped with no views, and air conditioning not working. Second family room was much more spacious with 2 windows opening up to Gran VĆ­a. Air conditioners very poor, did not cool. We had to ask for a fan. Be very careful of showers, very slippery and hard to get in and out of. My husband slipped and fell getting into the shower and hit his head. Overall good since staff was very accommodating.

I really loved my stay! It's right in the middle of everythingā€¦ shopping food and transit. I did think the rooms could've been a bit bigger but honestly the lack of space is expected when it comes to this particular area. I think this hotel is perfect for a short stay. The property was all right. My room (although I did ask for single) was very small. The lobby was bigger than some but very aversge in decor. The bathroom was clean but probably needs a little update. The room was dark because I was interior. The breakfast was the best so far. And I would say, I liked the bigger than usual closet space.

Stayed 4 nights in April. Very centrally located on Gran Via. Metro outside. Position above retail. The building is old and has been refurbished but there are limitations. The lifts for instance tend to jump just before stopping and some of the fixtures and fittings are of a different era. Not sure if Aircon worked as didn't need it. Well insulated from outside noise despite the location. Reading lights didn't appear to work and TV is strictly local channels. Real Madrid TV was handy to have. Reception are multi lingual. Offered a free upgrade but didn't match the sleeping arrangements booked (Twin) which therefore couldn't be taken. Bit of a miss there. No bar or evening food service but in the location that really isn't needed. Breakfast is excellent and varied with good times. Quality is top class. Young female assisting on my trip in the restaurant was notably efficient and should be commended. Multiple options of food available and labelling is generally bilingual Spanish English. Vending machines are available but weren't used by me. Classed as 3* which I suggest is very fair. Location is the key for this hotel. Used essentially as a crash pad to explore the amazing city and for that it was spot on.

The hotel is in a great location on Gran Via. Unfortunately we had to change our room due to a bad smell but the receptionist was very helpful and got us a new one straightaway. The rooms are very basic.

I stayed in a city-view room which was rather noisy most of the night with loud music coming from the road outside. The hotel was very clean and modern and the staff were extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again.

Excelente Hotel con perfecta ubicaciĆ³n en la Gran Via, la atenciĆ³n desde la llegada fue algo extraordinario en donde el seƱor Osvaldo nos ayudo desde nuestra entrada al hotel con todo lo concerniente al Early Check In, fue perfecto, lo unico que nos pareciĆ³ un poco incomodo sin quitarle meritos a este maravilloso hotel, fue los colchones de las camas del cuarto en donde mi esposa y yo nos levantamos con dolor de espalda debido al mal dormir por la condiciĆ³n del colchĆ³n en nuestra habitaciĆ³n, pero definitivamente apartando el tema del colchĆ³n que asumo lo podrĆ”n resolver en el corto plazo, creo que definitivamente repetiria el hotel incluyendo su desayuno por demas completo y de gran variedad.

Rooms were not clean. Room was very small and very hot. My window was looking at closed area, literally no sunshine. Location of the hotel was amazing, receptionist people were very friendly and helpfull, breakfast was 8 over 10. Not sure if I will chose this hotel again if I stay in Madrid next time.

Decent hotel for downtown Madrid. Friendly staff. Excellent location, but my room was pretty small (for the price). Also, if you're sensitive to noise, you might reconsider. The walls are quite thin and you can hear lots of movement/chatter/other noise in the hallway. That was a bit bothersome for us.

The heat was too high and since it is a central one they couldnā€™t lower it! Even with the windows open the room was way too hot! The rooms are oldish and not really smelling good, had to change the first room given because of the bathroom smell all around the room. Not really worth for the price knowing it is affiliated to Melia (which shouldnā€™t be).
