Super convenient for airport, beach, food and bis station for local activities and rest of island. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and great balcony with sea view. Good buffet breakfast with a few options including cold, cooked, and sweet. Great location, with free parking a short walk (paid parking closer by, but rarely spaces available). New bathroom and amazing shower. We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommended.

Very nice staff and a decent breakfast. The room was a little old, stained carpets, no kettle or fridge, but at the price and for one night, it was absolutely fine. My room had a bath which was very welcome and also a balcony, which was nice and the bed was very comfy. Great location and the friendly and helpful staff made up for the slightly shabby room.

Within 5 minutes walk are many good restaurants, buses to other towns, a bakery, a fruit-shop and a small supermarket. Excellent hotel breakfast. All rooms have sea-view balconies. Paid parking is very difficult nearby, except overnight and at weekend. Nearest free parking 10 minutes walk away.

Fantastic
I received a warm welcome from a very nice young lady who had a great local knowledge and was able to point me in the direction of a nice place to eat. The hotel is nicely situated, clean, in excellent condition and the room was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed a very peaceful stay with superb views out over the street at the front. Completely impressed with my experience and really look forward to staying there again in the future.

5 fab days in Machico.
We really enjoyed our second stay at white waters hotel. Staff are really upbeat and friendly. Lovely room with comfy bed and great shower. Breakfast was very good, hotel is very close to all facilities in Machico. Not far from bus station, and a great Levada walk at the back of Machico. Not far from a golden sandy beach. Buses go to most places on the east of the island and Funchal via the airport. Would re and would return. Cheers 😁😁

Lovely 2 night stay in Machico, during the Gastronomic and Music festival. The hotel welcome was very warm and helpful. Breakfast was also excellent.

Booked here as a stop off after arriving and to do the peninsular walk, wasn’t expecting much, but this was one of the best places on the island we stayed, both hotel and village, great value for money, would highly recommend as a base to explore further a field.

Amazinf stay
I have never had such a personal service at a hotel. The staff are incredibly lovely and accommodating. The location is minutes from the sea, honestly I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

5 days in Machico
Really enjoyed our stay in White Waters hotel. Staff really upbeat and chatty. Breakfast very good, room fab, bed really comfy. Lovely room with a great balcony. Everything was great. Machico is a great place to vase yourself as there is a lot to do and see in the area. It also has many eateries and bars, shops , supermarkets etc. Great bus service to Funchal and other parts of the East part of the island. Would recommend and will return. Cheers 😁😁

The neighborhood was beautiful anf had an easy access to beach. Also the area was very calm and so close to supermarket and pharmacy. About the negative part I can say that I was very disappointed with the room condition specially bedcovers and bathroom. On my bedsheet there was a spot! Bathroom smelled like waste pipe and the sink had a lot of cracks on it and when I opened the water the bad smell got stronger. The balcony’s door was brocken so we couldn’t close and lock the door but thanks God the neighborhood was safe but still I wasn’t feeling comfortable. To sum up the facility and room quality was the very basic and not in a very good quality.

Excellent hotel and wonderful location
The hosts and all staff were amazing. Very spacious room, amazing views and comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious and well presented. This is a modern building located in the heart of Machico. There's a pebble beach 1 min walk away and a sandy beach 5 minutes walking distance. Thank you very much, hopefully will be back soon.

Excellent Family Run Hotel
We wanted a relaxing seven night break and that was exactly what we got. Machico is quite small and compact and thankfully is largely flat, with easy strolls to most restaurants nearby. This family run hotel is well maintained, within a couple of minutes walk from a wonderful sandy beach and provides excellent value for money. We could not have asked for a better break.

The Hotel White Waters made my time in Madeira wonderful. The staff was great, and even waited up late for my arrival due to a delayed flight. They were helpful with all my needs and very friendly. They took a personal approach to every detail of the hotel and the experience.

Exceptionally hospitable. Flight from London delayed because of bad weather but owners phoned back twice to reassure us. Perfect service and a fantastic breakfast. Details like the wonderful fresh bread, fruit and perfection in egg and bacon/ham. Evening meal had the freshest fish, wine was out of this world. Home made pasta was fabulous. Very good overall and exceptional value!! Thank you to the entire team at White Waters- by the way the surf outside was also most awesome!

5 star all round. From check in to check out everything was perfect. The extra services the hotel owners and staff offered were well beyond expectations. Rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, there was always someone available to help, we will definitely be visiting again.

Perfect hosts and location.
This was our second stay. We love the hotel and the area. It is family owned and amazing value for money. The rooms are a good size and breakfast was included in the price. 5 minutes to a beautiful sandy beach.

A thumbs up
This hotel really gets a thumbs up. The room was great, large and comfortable, with a sea view. The breakfast was super, lots of choice and plenty of it. The staff were friendly and efficient and the location is great, right in the middle of the town. Machico is a great spot. It has a beach and lots of restaurants. It is close to the airport and not that far from Funchal. The popular peninsular walk is also only 10 mins away. Overall a great location to stay.

Near the beach.
Excellent people, clean room, good breakfast. They helped me to find an honest taxi driver. They hold my bags after check out. Only complain was the bad wifi.

White Waters is a family owned and run hotel, and you can tell. The owners all cared so mich aboutvtgeir guests. We felt incredibly welcome and looked after from the minute we arrived to the time we left. We had to stay in our room for the first evening while we waited for our Covid results. The hotel restaurant wasn't open due to the chef breaking their foot, so we wondered how we would get a meal. The owners ordered it from a local resraurant, collected it and delivered it to us! Such fantastic service. Would highly recommend.

Good small hotel near Madeira airport
The hotel's location was convenient (located in the town centre and close enough to the beach and airport). However, it was sometimes rather noisy. The room and toilet were clean but quite small. Breakfast was simple but good enough.

This hotel is truly beautiful and in the perfect location. Our hosts went above and beyond our expectations. We had to isolate in our room until our covid test came back they cooked evening meal just for us. The hotel is modern very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was avaliable each day included in the price of the room. lots of choice and a very attentive host. This is a family owned and run Hotel and is a 10/10. Brilliant wifi connection also included in price. The room we were in did not have air con we mentioned this and were immediately given a large oscillating fan. We will be visiting again and would recommend 100%
