Avoid at all costs. Turned up to the hotel to be told we didn’t have a booking. Zero empathy or customer service. The cleanliness was so so the sick had bits in it and the hot water wasn’t very hot. I told her i have just check in and i will be here for two more days. She went out to get me a key. They key was not working. went out again. Came bavk again to bring the key afteri had slept. We arrived and nobody was on reception so we tried the telephone number left on the desk. I even had trouble with this but eventually my friend connected only to be told by the manager of the property, Victoria, that we didn’t have a reservation and that there had been a customer cancellation (?!) They had no apartments available, couldn’t help. We had to drive home. We never got to see what it was like inside but there were a lot of comings and goings in reception of residents, none of whom spoke any English, so we couldn’t ask any of them for guidance as to what to do either and a whole pile of Amazon parcels left on the reception desk. The location is its only asset, as it is right in the heart of Macclesfield and close to the shops and Gawsworth Hall. ##### Sally Stayed 1 night in Jun 2023 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Mark Jul 4, 2022 Disliked: Cleanliness, communication #### Lusso - Dirty, Run Down & Bad Smells It started off poor with the communication just not taking place. I had to phone a mobile phone multiple times prior to getting a response. I then was charged twice and still chasing payment. For a new building it is dirty and already in poor state of repair. The building smells of old curry the whole time even in the rooms. We had a penthouse, but basically a top floor room with nothing you would call special. Paid 180.00 for a standard room, with kitchen and dining area. The shower had no shower gel or soap for the sink, we ended up using the washing up liquid from the kitchen. Shower nice and powerful. Had great tv with netflix too. Location close to town. Areas for improvement- arrival not great, arrived within checkin time suggested but couldnt get in had to ring mobile number noone answered. Finally got hold of someone but took then 11 min to arrive. Also info about stay lacking, should have welcome pack stating facilities etc even how to check out, had to keep ringing or texting the info number for help. Tip - text got instant reply, when ringing no answer. No info on parking, but public carpark opposite which was free after 6 or on sunday fyi. Room got hot but opening window was noisy for traffic, suggest maybe a sheet option as well as duvet in summer as well as fan for future summer guests I would stay here again now i understand how things work. We didnt use the kitchen but nothing to clean dishes with so bring that with u if using it. There is no Reception, it is an apartment building with self check in. The door mechanism was broken so didn’t need the code anyway. As the project isn’t quite finished there was some snagging here and there. Communication is via WhatsApp. No-one answers. Not once. There is supposed to be a £25 refundable fee, instead of taking £25, they took the cost of the stay again, when I had already paid via Hotels.com. I have rung them, WhatsApp’d and contacted them on Facebook. No response at all. Terrible.
