We love the property and all members of staff were exceptionally amazing in particular Becks on reception and the staff on course concierge were all above and beyond. We cannot thank them enough for their hospitality kindness and exceptional service they gave to us. They are all a credit to the management and we have already booked our next day thank you to all.
A superb stay, given that the hotel l had been opened only 2 days. The staff were brilliant , helpfully and eager to make our stay memorable. Breakfast was included and was one of the best I have had.
Surpassed all expectations just about ..
My only slight criticism was that the children’s pool access was restricted to 8:30–10:00am, which felt quite limiting. Trying to fit both breakfast and a family swim into that short window and all by 10am made the mornings feel a little rushed.
Overall, though, we had a fantastic stay and somewhere we would happily return to.
The Mere is a very good hotel and resort complex. The staff are first class and the meals are very good. I will look forward to staying again when in the area.
Perfect mid week stay at the Mere.
Really lovely room, very comfy bed, luxury toiletries.
Service was excellent at both the reception, the restaurant and bar.
Really good breakfast especially for vegetarians.
Lovely to get into the Spa to use the pool and jacuzzi.
Would defo go again.
Stayed 2 nights at The Mere whilst in Cheshire from the south for my cousins wedding and it was worth every penny. Predominately a golf hotel, the property also has a great atmosphere for non golfers. 4 star accommodation without being pretentious, it offers a relaxed atmosphere, excellent breakfast and dining options, (we used the clubhouse), well appointed, comfortable rooms and an extremely good spa with treatments at an added cost. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout the hotel. We ate and slept well, all in all a very good stay
The hotel itself would be amazing with a refurbishment in the hotel and its facilities as the decor is tired. But I couldn’t fault the service, staff or food we had all was excellent. A comfortable bed is important and the bedding, pillows and mattress was extremely comfortable. Will definitely be returning.
It’s a lovely hotel, the staff were nice, the breakfast and spa were divine! It’s worth noting that the lake view is obstructed and they are golfing just outside your window. Also, the fine print does state (which I didn’t read) that there are additional charges to use the pool - so don’t be fooled into thinking it’s included.
