Perfect base for exploring wine country. Our cottage was nestled in a vineyard with a lovely garden. It was very clean and well appointed with food for breakfast and snacks. Check in was easy and effortless. A wonderful experience.

Everything was perfect. The manager Ty was fantastic to work with and the property is so unique and charming. We booked the Vines cottage and loved it.
Live like the founders of Jacobs Creek but with amenities they did not have: a dishwasher, well-stocked fridge, cable TV. If you get a chance, have a drink/cuppa with Ty to get more perspective on the renovation of the property. Also, go outside in the AM and talk to Sonny, the chef at St. Hugo as he cuts herbs. Walk the property in the morning before anyone else is around. Pure enjoyment.
What a stunning location. We stayed in the Barn and I can tell you that once we got there I didn't want to leave. I would've happily stayed indoors just eating, drinking and relaxing if I didn't have a wedding to go to. Ella was so accommodating and lovely to communicate with. We'll definitely be going back in the future for a little retreat. The little extras that are included, such as breakfast, Nespresso pods, wine, port, etc. all made a difference. It's the little things that count as they say. Highly recommend visiting and staying for a few nights.

Thank you, its great to hear that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
This is a beautifully appointed cottage decorated in period style. A great location to visit all the wineries you can possibly cram into a day or two. A great place to stay for a long weekend with your partner. Loved the added bonus of being able to have a cooked breakfast each morning using the locally sourced provisions available in the cottage. So easy and would definitely recommend to friends that are visiting the Barossa.

Thank you for your lovely review of the cottage and I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed the provisions as we are passionate about supporting the local producers.
The accommodation is located in a convenient spot with a beautiful outlook. There are a number of different types of accommodation, we stayed in Willows Cottage. The accommodation provided everything you would need including a lovely breakfast supply with lots of other thoughtful extras. The kitchen had all the things you need to be able to cook and you are close by to great cafes and restaurants. All my interactions with the property manager were great. My only negative was that it is very dark inside the cottage which means by day you pretty well have to have all the lights on inside . It didn't bother me too much as I spent most of my days sitting in the kitchen which was light and sunny or sitting outdoors enjoying the view. It was very cozy at night by the open fire.

Lovely cottage
Loved the cottage and location was perfect.
Would have preferred more variety for breakfast. Bacon and eggs everyday was boring.
Firewood was crap and didn't burn well at all.
1 roll of toilet paper for 4 days was not enough.
Oven was unusable

Barossa Shiraz Estate is a serviced apartment.
We had issues with the check in time which was to our horror 3.00pm-officially the latest I have ever experienced as a traveller. But when I queried the check in time with the woman at the other end of the phone (no personal service here) she told me that the check in time was clearly advertised as 3.00pm and she was right, it was. Barossa Shiraz Estate says it is a B and B but it is actually a set of serviced apartments set next to a small vineyard up from the busy main road into Lyndoch and the Barossa Valley. The apartments are clean and well appointed with a listed pack of breakfast food left for the guests in the fridge, plus bread, milk, juice and tea and coffee. There is noone on the property that a guest can interact with, everything is done by text when a guest needs to get access to keys. Before we arrived at BSE we had stayed at a beautiful B and B where our every need was catered for and I guess that we expected the same sort of experience at BSE but there is absolutely no personal touch for the guest at BSE. I am surprised it gets such a good rating on the accommodation websites as it is far from being luxury and it is grossly overpriced for what it is.
