"When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. The room is bright ,warm plenty of lights, mirrors and storage. Gorgeous hotel on a lovely harbour
"We had a lovely stay in a balcony room overlooking the fabulous harbour. We had everything we needed including robes, slippers and a really comfy bed. The cleaning staff were lovely and always had a warm smile and said hello. Unfortunately the staff on reception seemed to keep their heads down or talk amongst themselves as we went in and out of the hotel. Also, we went to sit outside to have a drink and soak up the sun for an hour and the bar staff in The Jetty informed us that they don't serve outside and that we'd have to order inside and take it with us. Very odd for a 5* hotel...? Other than that we had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend to others."
