![The Sound Mirrors in Dungeness.

Designed and built by Percy Rothwell these are a forerunner of radar and were built on the south and northeast coasts of England between about 1916 and the 1930s.

They were intended to provide early warning of incoming enemy aeroplanes and airships about to attack coastal towns.

« il s'agit plutôt d'une auberge de jeunesse, salle de bain privée mais télé dans salle commune. Beaucoup de salons et cuisine collectifs. Le gros bémol: chambre minuscule et la 2ème personne dort dans un lit tiroir (à 52 ans, c'est bof!). Par contre, tout le monde était très sympathique »

« I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. »
