Built as a modern prefabricated house in the 1930s, it is almost a monument today. The oiled planks, which also cover part of the walls, have a beautiful patina and the antique tiled stoves and interesting furnishings remind us of the time when the last sail maker in the village felt comfortable here. When you sit in your sauna in the shepherd's wagon, you can enjoy the silence and the sound of the 80 year old Douglas fir trees in the large garden. The fishing village of Rieth with its 148 inhabitants is a very special gem on the Szczecin Lagoon. As soon as you drive into town, you'll be greeted by pre-Pomeranian brick and half-timbered houses, as well as well-kept farm gardens. It is reassuring to know that you have to drive back the only road that leads into town. There is no through traffic. Arrived at the village green (Herrengarten) with its ancient chestnuts, you will see the former "Gasthof zum blau See", the exterior of which has not changed for 150 years and is now a holiday home.
