His parents, Lisa and Normano, made us feel like old friends and the grounds are beautiful, full of fruits and flowers! The drive up the mountain was a little tight at some points so it's not for the faint of heart but well worth it. The 2-story house is perfect for a family or friend group. There are spaces to have some alone time (inside and outside) as well as a large kitchen to cook and eat together. It's about an hour drive and 10 toll to Florence and a little less to Lucca. We drove each day and then came back in the afternoons to spend time in nature. There's an Esselunga supermarket at the bottom of the mountain where you can stock up before you head up. Der Francesco hat uns den Weg sehr genau beschrieben, nur auf den letzten 300 Meter haben wir uns Hilfe holen mĂŒssen, da wir nicht sicher waren, ob das richtige Weg seien sollte. Die Umgebung und die Aussichten sind mĂ€rchenhaft! Das Haus ist ein wirklicher Traum. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Wenn man Fragen oder Sachen braucht, wird einem sofort geholfen. Die Anfahrt wird einem geĂŒbten und erfahrenen Fahrer empfohlen, am besten mit höher gesetztem Auto, damit man mit Unterboden nicht aufsetzt. Die Strecke hat mir und meinem Sohn persönlich sehr viel Spaß gemacht, aber derjenige, wer sich das zutraut, soll sehr auf den Gegenverkehr achten und vor der Kurve immer hupen, um Andere zu warnen, dass ein Fahrzeug entgegen kommt. Pisa ist 50 Min. und wunderschöne, und sehr empfehlenswerte Lucca, 25 Min. entfernt. Leider haben wir in drei Tagen keine Zeit gefunden, um mit Hausbesitzern die Zeit zu verbringen, da wir nur zum Schlafen da waren. Man hat sich wie bei eigenen Großeltern frĂŒher verborgen gefĂŒhlt. Mann soll miteinander Zeit verbringen, vielleicht mit einer Flasche Wein, KĂ€se und Weintraube abends ein bisschen zu plaudern, oder auch mit Espresso... Das werden wir sehr gerne nachholen!
