While waiting for check in time, I had a man that seem to be on drugs knock on my window, screaming at me to get out of there that I didn’t belong there ( in the hotel parking lot area ) this place has a liquor store in front and has a lot of bums in the area

Econo Lodge Downtown was very clean, comfy beds for the most part very friendly staff but the property is dated and has quite a few homeless people hanging around so you had to be cautious and aware of your surroundings. The location however is spot on, easy walking distance all around town and right across from the Omni which was wonderful!

Location was ideal, close to the downtown core. Easy walk to the attractions such as 4th St Live, Ohio River, Museums etc. The room was OK as we were only there to sleep, so linens were clean, bed was comfy. However it has seen better days. The day staff were super friendly and accommodating. When we arrived in our room, we had a very thoughtful welcome gift waiting for us for the Kentucky Derby. There were a few homeless individuals around the building, but sadly that is just about everywhere in today's world. They did not bother anyone. Felt safe

Despite reserving a non-smoking room, ours reeked of smoke. And while the property is across the street from a nice hotel, it is anything but. I would not recommend staying here

Property well located and walkable to Distilleries , dinning and shopping. Also easy parking. Property isn't in great shape and my room smelled. Also very loud from traffic and other guest.

Wasn’t the cleanest but wasn’t the worst. Good location. Owners were towing people left and right so make sure you don’t forget your parking pass. I would stay again for a short trip

Had to change rooms 3 times. I accepted my 4th room which was average to poor—very old, run down with blood stain on my mattress (however these sheets were clean.) The breakfast was very limited, but some seemed to enjoy the ready to make pancakes. It was noisy until 12-1 on weekend nights. The staff was very friendly and the check-in process was fast.

The rooms were adequate. Comfy bed and pillows, good heat/ac. Shower head was hanging out of a broken wall but it had good pressure. Bad shampoo/conditioner, bring your own. Breakfast was constantly out of food and coffee and there was only one person working. Pancake machine was broken having trouble. Limited food options for Breakfast included bagels/pancakes/muffins/cereal/yogurt, no protein or hot items other than pancakes. The outside of the hotel was run down and the were homeless people on the property asking for help. The price and location were great and I would stay there again because it has all the basic requirements for a hotel and it was very affordable. Noisy street out front but HVAC fan muted the noise.

Great Value!
Front desk check in was great! Very friendly and helpful young man. Room was clean but shower needed sprayer holder fixed(room 107). Very convenient for food and concert at Yum Center. Would stay again….great value!

Didn’t end up staying there any nights and canceled my room right after getting it because at first they sent us to a room that was dirty. Then they sent us to a room that had cigarette butts under the pillows and toilet falling apart when we got there. We had to wait in the lobby for 15 minutes. The lady worked in the front desk was not there because she was dealing with people breaking into units, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had

It was a terrible place to stay. Door to room did not seal at all. It was the noisiest place that I have ever been. I would never stay here again even if they paid me to do it!

Convenient location. Only needed to stay one night and it was the most affordable option available. Not necessarily the fault of the hotel and could have been the specific room location (#200, odd spot above and around the office), but there was so much guest noise going on and it didn’t stop until about 4 in the morning. Walking, door slamming, chair scooting - constantly. Paper thin walls/floors. Literally jumped at times because the noise would be so startling and loud. Would have been willing to pay more to stay elsewhere just to be able to sleep.

Rooms were old and dingy. The refrigerator didn't work. The receptacles in the room were unsafe! I asked to have the refrigerator repaired and after an hour I called to find out if anyone was going to give us a working frig and I got the reply " oh I guess I forgot about you"!!! The heating unit never cycled off when it got to temperature!! We packed up and went to a different hotel!

All I can say to accurately describe our stay is you get what you pay for. Comfortable pricing compared to other properties nearby but it is noticeable in the condition of the unit. Bed sheets did not look clean and our room was non smoking but somehow we got a bed comforter with a cigarette burn on it. The tub could definitely use a deep clean and the sink pressure is out of control. We were afraid to turn on the heater cause it looked very dirty. However, very convenient microwave and fridge in the room and tv has many channels. Complimentary breakfast is not like a hot breakfast type but it beats having nothing.

The unit was clean but it was very cold seeing as it was winter and even with reserving the room they didn’t heat it up. I didn’t like that it was an extra fee to park there as well but they did let me leave the car there after the stay so I didn’t have to pay parking garage tolls. Breakfast muffins were stale and the bagel toaster didn’t work correctly, leaving the bagel warm but not toasted.

Heater in room made so much noise I had to keep turning off to sleep until I would wake up freezing off and on all night. It was close to zero degrees outside. Night staff were incredibly rude putting it nicely- so I did not complain to them. I did not trust they would not retaliate
