Had issues with the bath plug and shower temperature. Otherwise spot on, great location, terrific grounds, could not fault the service. Room handy for dogs and you can park outside. Overall we will return, and it is recommended.

Hi Jose,we are sorry to see that your stay here wasn't as comfortable as we would have liked. With regard to the mattress, obviously the support level/firmness is purely a subjective thing as this is not a one size fits all situation. We do try to accommodate the large majority of our guests by providing a median between firm and soft but also accept that this won't mirror an individuals personal preference in all situations.Thank you again and you have agreat day.

Loved the french doors that we could have opened if the weather had been warmer. Plus could have parked outside our room if we'd known the car park extended there. Brilliant for people with mobility issues. Amazing food, we would definitely stay again plus the bar prices were very reasonable, so rare in this day and age.

A tired hotel
An OK hotel but it’s tired in a lot of places. Parts were nice and well done but aspects let it down - there were water marks from previous leaks on the ceiling!

Rooms were tired and stains on carpets and bedding. Furniture in bedroom was sticky and items stuck to the surfaces. Property could be really lovely if time and effort was made. Service was poor, tables left with crockery on and not cleared after meal. Glasses were not cleared during the evening. Overall for the price paid very disapointed and have had better rooms and experience for half the price. Gardens infront of rooms were not tended.

We are in the midst of a continual maintenance and refurbishment programme which I'm sure you'll appreciate, with 8 acres of grounds and 63 bedrooms, is not an overnight fix and requires a little more than 'time & effort' - which our teams provide in abundance.Your comments, however, have been noted and will be discussed with the various department heads. Good location for our stay
Nice shower, bed, hairdryer, TV, kettle, towels. All basics as needed. The garden behind our rooms was different to the main one so good if tidied up a bit. Nice bar food on one occasion and friendly chef.

The hotel has wonderful caring staff and lovely gardens. Dinner was very good, although the beer selection was not great. Common bathrooms need updating.

The room was quiet, but a little too warm. It was a good size. The bathroom was a good size too, and had a nice bathtub. There were two twin beds in our room. The mattresses were acceptable, but probably should be updated soon. The grounds are lovely, and Quorn's restaurants and bars are less than a 15 minute walk away.
