We had a delightful stay at the VRBO. It was perfect for my husband and I while we visited the area for a long weekend. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedding was high quality, the furnishings where comfortable, and the location is excellent for walking in town. We’ll certainly be staying again!
The house was exactly as described and easy to get in. The house was pleasant and calming when we arrived and is decorated beautifully.
We travelled light since we flew in and the house had everything we needed. The kitchen is a delight to cook in.
The location is terrific for walking with lots of sidewalks and close to the town center. We enjoyed walking to the bakery, dinner and historic sites.
Thanks for sharing your delightful home.
Absolutely wonderful girls weekend at this cozy colonial! The house oozes old house charm, with modern touches that still preserve a historical feeling. Every amenity is exactly where you’d expect, from towels to umbrellas to kitchenwares. If you ever dreamed of living in a magazine spread, this is the spot for you.
A short walk down the sidewalk takes you into the heart of Litchfield - even at night, it was well lit enough to walk. Liz is a kind host, and the check in / check out process is easy peasy. Come as you are…but beware that you may never want to leave! the
We visited Litchfield for a short weekend and were enamored with this private home and the beautiful downtown just a short walk up the street. The house is cozy and exceptionally curated. Fresh banana bread from a local bakery welcomed us in the wonderfully adorned kitchen. We sifted through the huge library of books and a curled up with one on the comfy couch in the living room. We sipped coffee at the cafe table on the front screened porch with our golden retrievers and envisioned horse drawn buggies clopping up the street in the 1800s. The bedrooms and main bath were so comfortable and offered many amenities. We greatly appreciated the air conditioned spaces in July. Liz was gracious and easy to communicate with. She offered us a tour of the house upon arrival and an easy check-out. We 100% would stay here again. The stairs are a little steep.
Meticulously decorated, very clean, bright and comfortable. For me it’s the little things, plush towels (plenty of them), high quality bedding, great shower (wow!), and steller hosting, even on a holiday.
Perfect spot for a place to stay Christmas week. Great decor, beautifully set up, Christmas tree was an extra touch. Fluffy, soft towels, shower pressure excellent, comfortable bedding, fully set up kitchen. Gus and I had a wonderful time.
We loved our stay at this charming house in Litchfield. The owner was responsive and the house is decorated beautifully and was clean and comfortable. We loved being able to walk into town. My daughter and I stayed for a fall trip and both agreed it was perfect.
The host was absolutely lovely. We had two young children with us, and she proactively reminded us about the stairs before our stay. Although we already knew about them when booking, it was so thoughtful of her to bring it up again—it really helped us plan ahead and feel prepared.During our stay, there was an unexpected plumbing issue, but she handled it incredibly quickly and professionally. She immediately provided us with options to make sure our trip wasn’t disrupted, and her communication throughout the process was excellent. We really felt taken care of.The house itself was extremely cute—very cottage-core and cozy, with so many charming touches that made it feel warm and inviting. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Our family truly enjoyed the space.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this home to anyone. We would absolutely love to stay here again!
The property was exactly as advertised, immaculately clean and well cared for, and comfortable. Liz was extremely responsive and a wonderful host. Highly recommend!
I really like to be able to walk to restaurants, bakeries, etc. when I travel and this property was perfect! I have stayed near Litchfield before and found great walking trails that I could drive to- but this was a treat for walking to get coffee and enjoy the historic homes and buildings.
The house was supplied with everything we needed to make us comfortable throughout our stay. The owner, Liz, was responsive to all our questions and helped us feel at home.
All around incredible experience. We booked last minute, as our prior housing fell through. Liz we great, very prompt in all her responses. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and an all around great place to spend a weekend. We would go back!
