The room was very dirty when we checked in. Many dead as well asalive insects in the room. One light bulb exploded when my brother just turned on the light which resulted in a black out in our room. The breakfast was the most disgusting thing you can ever see, insects flying all over the food, in addition to cats wondering all around the hotel breakfast area and lobby. I chose this hotel as it's located on the main coastal road with lots of parking space and close to a motorway junction. My general impression is that the management keeps the common areas (lobby and pool) in pristine condition, however even though the rooms are spacious they have seen better days. From what I've seen, the hotel seems to be hosting a lot of functions whilst keeping guest floors closed which explains the above. Still if you want to be in the Amathus area and avoid luxury resorts or self serviced apartments, this is the alternative option. If you have no car, there is a frequent bus service to the main tourist area and city centre.
