Extremely minimalist hotel. From black out drape to single bed. I saw no climate control, but it’s Lima and weather is temperate imo all the time. I didn’t mind at all. Water pressure was excellent and hot water delivery also. Bathroom was clean and modern. Bed was comfortable. Was far enough from Kennedy to not be that loud, but close enough to walk to in a few minutes. At night, the streets are empty but it’s Miraflores and I felt no danger at any time. Breakfast: excellent, included two egg based dishes(think casseroles). First day had Lo Mein. Second day instead of Lo Mein had beans/franks. I don’t know the name of the type of white cheese Peru often serves for breakfast but had it, ham slices, bread, butter, jam, a selection of cereals, yogurt, coffee, and two types of juices. First day, after this breakfast I literally forgot to eat the rest of the day. If I were to nitpick, I didn’t see easy access to places to buy drinking water and drinks or any sort of convenience store near by. I would have liked to see vending machines on each floor. I almost feel the hotel was too minimalist. Have some directions for guests, like how to get drinks, and how to get to places, and what extra services are available, room services, etc. I’m too lazy to ask or find out about these until needed. It should all just be in a brochure on the night table. Compared to US prices, this hotel was an excellent value. For Peru, it seems fair value. Good.
