The decor is just perfect for an old southern flat, with just the right amount of necessities for living and cooking for a week, and not a spec more. From my arrival to departure, my stay was perfect in every way. The Castle was historic (a history was provided in the welcome folder) with comfortable and attractive furniture and decor. The location was quiet, but a short walk to the downtown and colleges. A beautiful patio adjoined the living room, overlooking trees and gardens. Birds sang in the trees, and a horse-drawn carriage was a block away, adding the lovely sound of the clip clop of hooves! The bed was very comfortable, the bath tiled and sparkling clean! A wonderful, efficient kitchen separates the living and bedroom areas. My host responded to every question and need, and her service was beyond superb! My better half and I wanted a quick getaway. Property is elegant & charming. Turnkey stay -- everything we needed was at hand. Upscale soap and shampoo in the bathroom.
