Beautifully remodeled duplex home built in 1914 with Equestrian Motif throughout is the perfect atmosphere for your Lexington stay and convenient to all attractions and amenities. Located in one of Lexington's most desirable and stylish neighborhoods, Mentelle Park, and adjacent to Chevy Chase and Kenwick. Enjoy Lexington like a local in this quaint spot near downtown, UK campus/Kroger Field, Keeneland, college basketball's one-and-only Rupp Arena, and a short drive to the Kentucky Horse Park.

Spacious open floor plan with lots of natural light and a newly renovated, fully functional large eat-in kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The space is an entertainer's dream! Bedroom 1 closes off as does bedroom 2 which has a twin bed as well as a trundle bed. Off street parking for 1-2 vehicles is provided behind the house.

Front Porch, Back Porch, Garden

Owners and Property Manager live nearby and are readily available. Kentucky Local Rentals hosts multiple vacation rentals in the greater Lexington area and are ready to give you a Kentucky Experience you wont forget. The neighborhood surrounding Kathy’s Place is absolutely lovely and very community and locally driven. Walking around the area is inspiring; the architecture and preservation is beautiful! Located a block from Ashland: Henry Clay's Estate which was established in 1811 and is a beautiful preserve of historic property and nature. Tons of shopping, restaurants and bars in Chevy Chase, Downtown and the Warehouse Block. Grocery, liquor store, drug store all within a mile.

Lextran picks up nearby and has frequent scheduled runs to Downtown and Keeneland Race Track. Location is about a $5 Uber/Lyft to downtown/Rupp Arena. 40502

Quaint and comfortable

Kathy’s place was perfect for our family of 3 and our dog. The beds are really comfortable and the place is super clean. Lots of towels, laundry pods, dish pods and toilet paper. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make meals and also has tons of plates, glasses, etc. It is walking distance to a few good restaurants and also a convenience/ gas station. And they left a snack basket with popcorn, peanuts, soda and beer. We would definitely stay here again.

Kentucky 3 Day Event

We stayed here while attending the Kentucky 3 day event in 2025. It was super close to many things and clean. The neighborhood was walkable for dogs and easily accessible. The communication from the property manager was solid and very timely via message and phone. Highly recommended!

Great Experience

Kathy’s Place was an ideal experience for our daughters graduation weekend. The house was decorated so cute and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was close to downtown and UK. The host was very accommodating and communicative. We only had one small issue and it was resolved quickly.

Lovely!

My husband and I spent two nights here while in town for Family Weekend at UK. It was a very short drive to campus, and the house is conveniently located close to a bakery and restaurant as well. The home is charming, comfortable, clean, and cute! As an life-long horse owner, I absolutely loved the equestrian decor. Make sure to bring along necessities for morning coffee as the kitchen is stocked with appliances and accessories, but we did forget to pack coffee and sugar - we’ll know for next time. The welcome basket of treats and beverages was a wonderful touch. This is on our short list of places to stay when we’re in town to visit our daughter!

Charming house in Lexington

This place was as advertised. Great place for a small family in the heart of everything in Lexington. House is located in a safe area, property manager was very helpful and even allowed us a early check in since we arrived early. We give it 5 stars all the way around

Lovely cottage home in historic neighborhood

Always a pleasure visiting Lexington and staying in this lovely cottage home. We enjoy the historic residential neighborhood. Easy walking distance to stores and restaurants. A little longer walk to downtown but worth the effort!

Great historic neighborhood

Lovely home in great location. Second bed is a somewhat uncomfortable daybed with a trundle. When we left we packed all of our items but inadvertently left refrigerated items in a bag on the counter. We went to breakfast and returned to the rental to pick them up. The cleaning crew was there and we announced our presence loudly multiple times. Getting no response, we picked up our refrigerated items and left. Later that evening I got an unexpected and rude call from the cleaning staff regarding our return to pick up our remaining items.

Lovely location - close to everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely apartment within a home in a historic neighborhood in Lexington. Two bedrooms are small but comfortable for 2-3 people. Walking distance to downtown, beautiful neighborhood and amazing restaurants close by.

Quaint Neighborhood

This duplex was perfect for my husband, puppy, and me. Clean, comfortable, well decorated and nice touches to make visitors feel welcomed. There was plenty of parking offstreet and so much fun to walk the neighborhoods. It was quiet too. My pup liked looking out the front door at all the people who walked by (she’s not a city dog). Ours was a last minute booking and the owner was so helpful. They even had some jazz playing when we walked in, how awesome is that! We would definitely recommend this home and hope to return. Thanks

This was our first experience with renting a private property (house) for vacation. The owner and the manager both were very friendly and helpful.The house was very comfortable. The location was very convenient to UK and downtown Lexington. We loved the historical neighborhood. It was very quiet even though it was located on a busy street. Also, we felt like it was a safe neighborhood. We likely would rent it again when vacationing in Lexington.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT !

The photos do not do this place justice. The accommodations were perfect. The kitchen is very large and allowed me to have my daughter and several of her friends for dinner (UK Students). The home is much larger then expected and very clean. Austen went out of his way to be sure everything I needed was at hand. Walking distance to Maggie’s is a nice bonus ! We will be back !
