  • Beautiful mountain views, an abundance of wildlife, and close to town!
    Very spacious 3 bedrooms and 2 baths country cottage (Additional efficiency, 1 bedroom/1 bathroom available to rent ) overlooking the Blueridge Mountains. Large open family room and kitchen. 2 Queen beds, Bunk bed with two twins, and a day bed (2 twins.) Additional 1/1 available for large parties (not rented out alone, only as part of this vrbo). Private pond, 170 acres with lots of trails to explore. Firepit, basketball hoop, swing set, fort, pickleball court, fishing, and more.

Stunning property and genuinely lovely hosts. We had three kids, 5 and under, and they had so many toys and things to play with. Everyone loved the swing, which overlooked a gorgeous landscape and provided for great photo ops. The hosts got back to me right away anytime I needed anything. No fussy requirements or lengthy check-out instructions. Just a wonderful stay. Would return.

Mountain Views and family farm fun

Wonderful quick getaway to be out of the city. Gorgeous Mountain Views and cute farm animals and activities for kids. Lots of nearby outdoor fun as well. Erin and Doug were friendly and attentive hosts. I would recommend staying here!

VMI Reunion Getaway

Beautiful place and perfect for our VMI reunion with some old friends. We also thoroughly enjoyed the "neighbors"--a mama bear and her 3 cubs. Definitely on our list for a place to return....thank you so much!

The owners made us feel at home and very comfortable. It is very hard to travel with young ones, but they made it very easy to keep the kids entertained by providing ride on toys outside, a while toy room inside, and so much more. I would highly recommend for a family with kids, or even just a couples getaway!

Graduation/Family Weekend

I wanted a place where we could all be together for my daughters college graduation What a wonderful find! This is the best place we have stayed at. The cottage is large and family friendly. The grandkids enjoyed playing outside on the rope swing and seeing the farm animals. We cant wait to come back again!

Little Details Make A Big Difference

Little details like relaxing music playing when the family arrived and the invitation to take anything from the beautiful garden made all of us feel so welcomed and comfortable. There were fun activities for all ages and gorgeous views. Highly recommend for families looking to get away from the business of life and enjoy spending time relaxing and playing together.

Wonderful spot; gracious hosts; a Hit!

We had a too short delightful time in Lexington. The property was on a hill over looking the Shenandoah Valley; every effort was made to welcome us; there’s a small enclave of chickens, turkeys, miniature donkeys, and other creatures the children loved; the surrounding Maurrey River valley was fun to explore and enjoy-we loved it!

Our family had a wonderful experience with this home: the layout, amenities, and TOYS and FARM ANIMALS. Erin and Doug were fantastic hosts. We were in for a family wedding and everyone one of our visitors experienced this great place. WANT to come back ASAP.

Beautiful Views, Well Equipped

Our family visited Lexington for our son’s commencement ceremony. The communication with the owners was efficient and clear - one year ahead of time. I appreciated their insight and information. The house is well equipped for a family stay, with plenty accoutrements for young children. There are games galore and beautiful surroundings. I am so appreciate of their effort and communication.

Amazing views!

We loved the great mountain view! The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. The kitchen was well stocked. The host was quick to respond and very helpful. We enjoyed playing pickle ball and exploring the property. It was close to Lexington, but felt very far from everywhere! Calm and relaxing visit!

Amazing stay for a family

This is the perfect mountain getaway property, especially with kids. Our 4-year old LOVED the swings, trampoline, toys, etc. We all enjoyed the farm animals, firepit, and beautiful views of the mountains. The property owners were so thoughtful and prompt with communication. We are already planning a return trip.

I have stayed in several locations in Lexington and this was by far the best. Erin and Doug went above and beyond all expectations. The property provided everything we needed. We were able to have family meals, take long walks and enjoy the animals on the property. I highly recommend!!

Graduation weekend

Amazing mountain views from a well equipped farmhouse. We were not on-site much but enjoyed the full kitchen and enjoyed the deck overlooking the beautiful property. Beds are only doubles so be prepared if you are used to larger bed sizes. Farm fresh eggs were awesome!
