Rooms are large and comfortable. Quirky use of antiques makes it an interesting place to see. There is a lack of electrical sockets in the bedroom, none by the bedside tables. No tea and coffee facilities in the room .

Friendly hotel with good restaurant and bar, both serving food. Comfortable spacious, and immaculately clean bedroom, same standard of cleanliness throughout. Conveniently located just off the A1 Burgos to Madrid motorway, but only a short walk or drive from the attractive centre of historic Lerma.

Excellent for an overnight stay
Hotel Alisa is a no frills hotel which is perfect for an overnight stop. I had a meal and breakfast in the bar which was absolutely perfect and very reasonably priced. All the staff from the reception to the bar staff are welcoming and friendly

Hotel alisa
First time here and was happy with things. The menu both in the bar and main restaurant may not be to every english visitors liking, but there are a few of the usual favourites that most brits are ok with. We will stop here again as we regularly travel santander to costa del sol, and need to have several overnight places that we can call upon.

Great hotel for a very affordable price.
Perfect for one or two nights. Traditional Spanish older hotel. Very clean and well-functioning. Dog friendly hotel (but not allowed in the restaurant). Very good location, walkable to town center. Lots of free parking.

Overnight stay in Lerma
We’ve stayed here several times en route to Santander as it is ideally situated only 3 hrs from the Ferry. The hotel accommodation is tired & in need of an upgrade, & our room on this occasion was particularly tatty. Firstly the bedroom door wouldn’t open with the key despite jiggling & pulling & pushing whilst turning the key, so we had to return to reception & the staff member kindly assisted. Even she found it difficult but at least got it open. There was a loose floor tile in the entrance to the bathroom which moved & creaked when stood on. There was fluff on the bedroom laminate floor, & small spiders & cobwebs on the walls above the bed. We had the menu del noche in the restaurant, but it wasn’t a pleasant experience due to an excessive amount of flies invading the table whilst we were eating, even to the point of landing on the food we were putting in our mouth. There seemed to be nothing in place to deal with this problem e.g fly traps, electronic zappers etc. We won’t be eating or staying here again during the summer months.

Watch out for the WiFi.
The staff were very attentive and efficient, 1st class. The room I’m afraid was not so good, I’ve stayed at this hotel many time and been very pleased, this time however no so. The overbath shower leaked everywhere and only one socket in the bedroom, you had to disconnect the tv to plug in the fan and disconnect the fan if you wanted to charge your phone. The WiFi had been compromised with “Third man” virus which alters the content of your apps and files. This had not been detected by the hotel or prevented. Use the WiFi at your peril. On a much lighter note the food was fantastic as usual, we had a 1st class dinner and a nice continental style breakfast.

Friendly book in / room clean (no uk tv) / beds ok just staying one night with our bulldog in tow, nice areas for dog walk etc, restaurant was good for dinner and conti break ok. Staff pleasant and helpful

Hotel Alisa is very close to the motorway and easy to find. The staff and bar were excellent during our stay. Food in the bar was excellent and very good value for money. The room was spacious as was the bathroom, although the bathroom will benefit from modernisation. The room was quiet but from 06.00hrs the noise of bathroom expel air fans from neighbouring rooms was quite evident. Overall, a good stop off travel point.

Ideal stopover hotel
We use this hotel as a stopover to & from Santander. The rooms are fairly basic. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, no aircon in the hot weather, only an electric fan which uses the one & only plug socket in the room, but in the cooler weather there is a heater in the room. There is no hairdryer but I believe one can be obtained from reception. Only one pillow per bed & no spares in the wardrobe. The restaurant opens at 20.30 & offers a menu del niche for approx €16.00 p.p The food is okay & portions are a good size. Breakfast is very limited & having sampled it once, we wouldn’t bother again. On a positive note, there is plenty of off road parking, & the hotel itself is quite interesting & has lots of brass & China collections, as well as its history explained in pictures on the walls.

Going North or South stop here with your pets.
Very nice hotel and just off the motorway and is dog friendly too. Rooms were a little dated in decor but the en-suite was just updated and very modern and smart. We booked half board and the food was amazing and very good value for money, the staff were friendly and professional without being stuffy. Will defo use this hotel again.

Great Pet Friendly Hotel for travellers in Spain
We were driving from Malaga to Bilbao to catch the UK ferry. Lerma is a really convenient location, just off the highway and the hotel was in a great location, with good parking. Unlike many Spanish hotels the Alisa has a good restaurant that produced fantastic food at a very good price and open until late. For travellers this was a great find and the staff were very efficient and helpful. This is a pet friendly hotel and we were able to have our two spaniels with us overnight. We plan to stay here again and would recommend the hotel for travellers in Spain on a budget who also like good food and friendly staff.

Good and bad.
Appearance is lovely, access is easy and parking a treat. Not far from the town and access to main routes is very easy. Our room had plenty of space and so did the bathroom, all was clean and functional. There are issues though; the room smelled quite strongly of cigarette smoke which is very unpleasant and it was cold until late, the heating didn't come on until after 8pm and I had to get into bed to try to warm up! These issues can be corrected quite easily but there is one that will definately put me off recommending this hotel, it is extremely noisy! Probably the least soundproofed hotel we have ever stayed in. We may as well have had a bed in the reception/bar area! Doors, windows, floors, chairs and furniture moving, loud footsteps on ceilings and stairs, we not only heard staff and guests talking but could easily make out the content of their conversations. This went on until very late and as tired travellers it was very uncomfortable.

Easy to find, plenty of free paking. Friendly reception staff. The hotel has a well stocked bar with friendly bar staff and a good restaurant with varied menu. Spacious bedroom, plenty of hot water and good quality towels together with good quality bed linen and a comfortable bed.
