Nestled in the treetops of Laurelville, Settlers’ Lodge is a newly renovated property offering all the modern amenities you’d expect in a high-end vacation rental. Hot tub, free Wi-Fi, 55” & 65” flat screen TV’s, 12-foot shuffle board table, tournament size dart board, new memory foam mattresses, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, expansive deck and fire pit just to name a few! Boasting over 2,100 square feet - plus a finished basement - there’s ample space for family fun inside and out. Privacy abounds in this 5 bed / 2 bath lodge which comfortably sleeps 12 guests. The first floor offers a large eat-in kitchen, bar area, dining room, full bath and two bedrooms both with queen size beds. The sprawling covered porch/deck with hot tub, grill and firepit area overlooks your own valley/sunsets/snowscapes/woods; conveniently accessed directly off the kitchen. Step-down into the generous-sized sunken family room featuring flat screen TV, three sofas, shuffle-board table and armoire full of board games/cards, etc. The ground floor is also home to two more bedrooms – one with a queen bed and another with two twin-over-full bunkbeds. The finished basement is home to the fifth bedroom with queen bed, full bath and large ‘hangout’ room with flat screen TV and dart board. Conveniently located minutes from OH-56E, top attractions such as Conkles Hollow State Nature Preserve, Rock House Trail, John Glenn Astronomy Park, Butterfly Ridge Conservation Center, Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Whispering Cave Trail, Cedar Falls, Tar Hallow, Cantwell Cliffs and Lake Logan are easily accessible within 5-15 miles. Whether you choose to explore the rolling hills on the property, take in sunset views from the hilltop perch while immersing in the hot tub or venture out to one of the many nearby attractions, you'll understand why the Lodge is the perfect sanctuary for the entire family! CHECK-OUT is 11 AM ET the day of your departure. Please adhere to the following check-out rules: 1) Trash - Empty all garbage cans and place in the dumpster adjacent to the bottom of the driveway. 2) Linens - Strip all used bedding and place on the floor in the bedrooms; place all used towels on the floor in the bathrooms. 3) Refrigerator - Remove all items from the refrigerator and freezer and dispose in the trash cans provided outside. HVAC – Configured to maximize your comfort! Heating can be set up to 74° and cooling down to 68°. HOT TUB – The hot tub is properly treated for use & always remains “on” to recirculate the water. The temperature is set to maintain optimal heat; please do not adjust. Failure to adhere to Hot Tub safety rules may result in additional fees. SMOKING – Prohibited inside the lodge; you may smoke outside, but please respect the property & dispose of all butts/remnants which may have been discarded on the grounds. We spent four days at Settlers Lodge and cannot speak highly enough of the experience. Things were very clean and spacious. The lodge is well stocked and has a great open floor plan. Our family plays in a dart league together so the dart board in the basement definitely got some use. It was a nice inclusion to the lodge. One item to note though, the driveway leading up to the cabin is somewhat steep and in inclement weather would likely require AWD or 4WD to make it up to the lodge. This is true of most of hocking hills so it is something to keep in mind when planning a trip here. Overall great location for a great family trip. ##### Patrick N. Ive stayed at other cabins that claim to have fully stocked kitchens and got there to find it was not but that is not the case here. The hosts literally have thought of everything And some. It was a home away from home. The only negative from our stay was how hot it was that weekend but everything else was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend the Settler's Lodge for your next family or friends getaway. You will not be disapponited. ##### Leah J. The hot tub and 90-inch shuffle board were a big hit. The kitchen was well equipped, except for a malfunctioning ice maker. I would caution that if you plan to book this cabin to BRING EVERYTHING. this includes essentials like toilet paper. youre about 40 minutes from the closest grocery store and this proved to be extremely inconvient for our group. this is not in the listing. the other thing of caution is the water. it leaves a slimey residue that feels like you still have soap on. we used bottled water for cooking/drinking. About half our group otped to not shower due to the residue left by the water. Not sure if its d/t a well or some filtration chemicals but left us all a bit uneasy. ##### sarah i. Nice updated features throughout the home, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, ample space for a group of 12 to congregate in the dining, living room and outside backyard area! The owners were responsive and answered questions sent through the app prior to our stay. They responded quickly to help us work through an issue at check-in.
