Belvoir is a masterpiece of interior design with original artwork by John Wren adorning the walls of the house throughout, giving guests the feeling of their own private gallery. Ideal for a sophisticated getaway with friends, the home, which comfortably sleeps six, is perfect to host dinner parties while enjoying the sights of Launceston and its stunning surroundings. Belvoir has been reimagined with bold interior design that captures its Art-Deco origins, paired with daring textures, layers and colours that breathe new life into the 1930’s built home. A stay at Belvoir is both unique and impressive, with the painting works of self-taught artist, John Wren hanging throughout the home, creating a warm ambience rich in character. Opulent, yet comfortable and inviting, the residence features three large, beautifully decorated bedrooms and two uniquely designed bathrooms. Bedroom 1 is located on the ground floor, while the other two bedrooms on the first floor lookout to Launceston’s green countryside. The upstairs bedrooms are separated by a living room that is light, bright and shares the views of the neighbouring bedrooms. The ground floor features a bold formal dining room and bar that is unafraid to show its style with dark walls, velvet curtains and touches of texture. Enjoy the large lounge room downstairs to relax and enjoy a glass of wine while you and your guests cosy up on the soft leather couches. The sleek, modern kitchen is spacious and light with a side-by-side fridge, high-end oven, dishwasher and lots of bench space to prepare meals and entertain. For those who need to check emails, or dial in for a meeting, an office is also available, and the home has a fully equipped laundry to use during your stay. Outside, the home gets better with a large landscaped backyard and outdoor dining area with a BBQ surrounded by lush green hedge to enjoy the crisp Tassie air. Guests have full access and private use of the entire property during their stay. Please note we will not be available in person during your stay. We have a management team in place to assist guests with any questions or issues which may arise during their stay. Located in the quiet residential area of West Launceston, Belvoir is just a 10-minute drive from Launceston Airport, and a few minutes drive into the city centre. Cuccina Restaurant Café is just 15-minutes walk for a morning coffee, and the popular Stillwater Restaurant approximately 25-minutes walking distance. For a day activity, head to scenic Cataract Gorge Reserve, just a 15-minute walk from the home. Metro Tasmania bus stops are just a few metres from the home on Granville Street and Brougham Street to take you around town. From December – April, free Tiger Bus services are also available 7 days a week, operating throughout Launceston. Taxis and Ubers are also available to use. Belvoir is a testament to Art Deco's splendour, reimagined with modern conveniences for a seamless blend of the past and present. The highlight is an art collection exclusively crafted by John Wren, each piece narrating its own unique story. And the best part? You can make these captivating artworks your own, simply by visiting John Wren's website or enquire directly. If additional cleaning is required above and beyond what the guest has paid for at the time of booking, this extra cost will be passed on to the guest to cover. Additional costs can be easily avoided by leaving the property in a neat and tidy state and following the check out instructions.
