Summary Welcome to this magnificent property located on George Street in Launceston. Consisting of 4 fabulous bedrooms this spacious home is the perfect base for your next holiday. Only minutes walk to the CBD and a quick 15 minute drive to the airport. Space Ohio House was built in 1920\. Overlooking Launceston, Ohio House exemplifies the modest Federation style that is typical for this part of the inner city, featuring a majestic curved bay front window, feature gable, half-verandah and tuck-pointed brickwork. The beautiful loft bedroom - our favourite part of the house - was added in 1935 using local hardwood joinery. This home has been creatively furnished by the owners for you to enjoy. The home features a combination of both split system heating and cooling, and panel heating to keep you comfortable all-year-round. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need if you choose to stay in and cook with the family. There are 4 large bedrooms for you to enjoy. A spacious bathroom with the shower over the tub. The living and dining area at the front of the home is a cosy place to enjoy a meal or a movie. We love this property and hope you do too! Guest Access Guest can check-in anytime after 3PM via our secure key lockbox. The guest have full access to the whole house. The Neighborhood Launceston is a beautiful city blending both city and country charms, with heritage streetscapes, a slice of urban wilderness and gourmet food and drink available at every turn. We aren’t just biassed, many agree, with Launceston named Australia’s best town to visit in 2022! Nestled amongst these iconic buildings, you will find many delicious cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques, a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs and many amenities and recreational spaces. Launceston has many things to see and do including the vibrant Harvest Market every Saturday morning, the Princess Theatre, hosting local, interstate, and international performances, the Star Theatre for a cosy, cinematic experience, and many pubs and venues that host amazing live, musical talents. Often referred to as the 'Lygon’ Street of Launceston, you will find some of Launceston’s most popular eateries and amenities on the illustrious Charles Street. George St is also known as ‘Eat Street’ with a range of restaurants, bars, gin houses and cafes to cater for most tastes. The Cataract Gorge is a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations. The City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys. Nearby, you will find Penny Royal World. This attraction provides you and the family with a fabulous day out, with boat rides, rock climbing, rope courses, and more found here. For the adults, Penny Royal also provides a beautiful atmosphere where you can enjoy a wine or coffee. An additional area to note is the Seaport Precinct. Here you will find some of Launceston’s most beloved restaurants and bars scattered along the edges of the Tamar River. Restaurants to note are Mud Restaurant and Bar, the Levee Food Co. and Spice. Across the bridge you will find the Riverbend Park for all day play entertainment, the Boathouse Café and Silo Hotel. There are many, many more experiences and places to see. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. It is easy to spot – painted with the black and brown stripes of a Tasmanian Tiger!
